I translated a portion of Aiba's article from TV Guide Person because the things he said really grabbed my attention. In the interview, he talked about things he's lost and gained; he also mentioned wanting to go back to late night variety shows and went on to explain why that might or might not be possible. Enjoy, and feel free to share your own thoughts!

Toretate Fuji TV <7 Lucks pre-release of Lucky Seven special report> 7 Lucks pre-release of Lucky Seven special that on air 1/3 21:00-. as this is 7.  3 of “Twinkle Winter Seven” of Odaiba States and warm up event. 7 lucks was given to fans at the site. 1st Luck: Jun Matsumoto-san appeared. when he appeared the site roared with “kya” the site got pomp at one burst. the temperature of the site raise at one fling. 2nd luck: Q & A to Matsumoto-san. asked 7 questions. Q1 what is impression to act Shuntaro after long time A: it was fun. really the site ws fun, as we created discussing each single got idea and though what they want, this was very stimulating site. I realized how fun to create thing. I don’t feel blank, I could back promptly. but first day I got so nervous. Q2 what did you struggle about action? A: I’ve shot as many takes as time allow  during shooting that Shimomura director of action calculated details. this was challenging to doo action during limited time. I  hit other by punch and light kick. I was told “this is not painful. do it more” actually I’m not so Sadistic. (grin) this time as well not only me, but also Nitta takes down enemy a lot. action of Nitta is pretty cool. Q3 how was reunion of co-starting casts? A: all are same, when all gathered, I felt like back half years ago. this atmosphere is so comfortable. I got grinned. sort of pleased to be back here. Ishiharasa-san was co-staring after 9 years, as this was diabolic woman role. realized she got mature woman. the actress that her eyes was impressive. it was first time co-staring with Oikawa-san. during acting he has atmosphere, but before call cut he acts funny. it was fun, when he started to shoot. “well, this is Miccy.” he introduced himself, this was impressive.  Ohizumi-san cut his hair short. this time we have not many scene together. at concert in Sapporo, I asked Ohizumi-san to reserve place to eat. but he didn’t played. Q4: let us know episode at shooting site. A: what I surprised was Nanako Matsushima-san was sweets lovers, as she looks so cool like an iron woman, I have such image. she gave us compliment sweet, and ate big Baumkuchen at front room. Q5: after shooting how do you feel response? A: I think it’s fun. I wonder if I’d told this was not fun. (grin) my favorite Emiko Inoue-san wrote script, this is thrilling massive development is amazing. and intersting story, I think. and Matsuyama director did shooting, have past word of view, and add new world of view. and mind game of latter part is one of high light, personally I’m not good at mind game. when I lie this appears to my face. as I was raised being told “never lie” … Q6 please let me know episode of Lucky Seven. A: people who watch serial drama must notice. hidden item will appear. props and other, and personas relationships got deepen. Q7. what is your this year Christmas plan? what is ideal Christmas?
