GAME NIKKI question

Eh? I am puzzeled.

So I figured that Nino's [GAME NIKKI] was some sort of diary he updates regularly
because I've read mannyy translations of it. And I kinda got the impression that
he updates it from something that isn't a computer, ne?

But I am not sure. Can someone explain what a "Game Nikki" is and how he updates it?
Or specifically, can he do it from a little game console? Is it the one that I hear
he is always playing on?

"Game Nikki" is the title of his J-Web corner. J-Web is a special phone service you pay for monthly where you can (via your cell phone) read the diaries of JE boys that they update via their own cell phones. (Make sense?)

Most Japanese blogs are updated with either a computer, or through a cell phone. Japanese cell phones are the most amazing things ever; most people send email, text, play games, take pictures, and surf the web through them. Since people are on the go a lot, the cell is easiest since you can just do it while you're riding the train, or have five minutes to kill. I'm guessing that's how he does it too.

A lot of Johnny's members have such little journals.
From what I gather, they're like text messages that they update and send out from their cellphones. They send those messages out to the cellphones of fans who subscribe to thier journal. It's kind of like... mass mailing via cellphones.

Nino's a bit special in Arashi as he's somehow landed a pretty permanent nikki. I know that Arashi had such updates for UraUra during their summer tour and now they have something that's documenting their Asia tour. Typically, however (and I might be wrong), I'm pretty sure Nino is the only member that actually has his own...

I think Jun does too, and I know Ohno has SOME kind of blog thing, but he only ever updates with single sentences mentioning what he ate that day (in a typically Ohno way. XD)

if I got it right he writes on his cell phone
and Japanese fan part of the fanclub can receive those text messaging I think that's why they're not all that long too ^^

Yeah, Jun's is called "Enjoy!" and Ohno's is "Satoshi no Hitotoki2" (according to this site (http://jweb85.blog48.fc2.com/) which posts translations. I'm not sure if Aiba and Sho just don't have ones at all, or if there's just nobody out there translating them. Nino seems to be the only one who updates religiously, Jun updates every once in a blue moon, and since that site has started translating Ohno hasn't updated at all XD

I found one entry by Sho on there, about Taiwan, so he does seem to write every now and again.

Ah, sank you! That clears it up! And it really is sugoi, ne? I didn't know that the diary goes out to a whole bunch of fans that subscribe to the journal! really sugoi.
