Arashi ONE Tour Concert Report!!!!
Jul. 30th, 2005 11:54 pmSo, I finally went to see them today at Yoyogi Stadium...
The one I went to was the Tokyo Saturday 30th at 6pm. I arrive there about 45 minutes before they start collecting tickets and the place is PACKED.

So I get in line, which wasn't a big deal because we all had assigned seats so I can basically get in anytime and have a seat. This also means I can't elbow my way into the front, because that would mean that I would be escorted out by the many security guards in black suits. Today was hot as hell in Tokyo, with temperatures climbing up to 87 degrees Fahrenheit WITHOUT taking into consideration the crazy humidity. I've lived in Florida since I was 4 so I'm built tough and I could handle it, but it was obvious that some girls, say the two in the random pikachu suits, couldn't. So as I'm waiting I can hear the afternoon concert ending. AND THEN IT STARTS RAINING. I have an umbrella because I am the prepared but the girl next to me has no umbrella, and we all know how much the japanese hate being wet. So I offer mine to her and we start talking about Arashi and I found out a bunch. Apparently, Aiba-chan is the most popular in Japan, and I could visually verify it by all the "相" fans waving around. She was shocked there were fans from America. Hahaha, she doesn't know all the trouble we have to go through. Favorite quote: "Then...how do you get Arashi CDs and stuff?" I reply; "The internet."
Anyway, we're finally let in and they gave a mere cursory inspection of my bag, which sucks for them because they don't realize that I have hidden a CAMERA in my bag! But then, I ask my friend about cameras and she told me that if they catch you taking a picture they'll kick you out. KICK YOU OUT.
Since I'm paranoid, I don't risk it.
I'm by myself and I look like only a slight loser compared to others. Seriously, you may think Arashi fans in Japan are all 13 year olds and high school girls? WRONG. There's the occaisional mother with a 6 year old girl with an Aiba fan, but the bulk of them are OLs and housewives. You heard me right. It's like the reverse of a Morning Musume concert. The lady next to me looked fairly irobaba like. Shouldn't you be at home attending to your children? I have the gratification of at least being a little bit younger than Arashi, which is another story regarding NEWS >_>;
I digress. The concert starts and I am screaming the entire time. I wave around my Johnny's light up star and I am forced to use binoculars because I am on the second floor D block in the middle. At least I'm not on the third floor, they can't see anything.
I love Arashi because they move around so everyone can see. Each member had their turn close to where I was sitting. When I say close I am saying relatively close. Close enough so that in my binoculars they actually seem to be pretty near to me! Anyway, they play a LOT of new songs, which made me really excited because it's all so so good and I can't wait to pick up the album on wednesday. I must admit this time around their outfits are less gay! Well, how do I put this, probably the same amount of gay but hotter? Their solos were so good too. Aiba was first with some early nineties sounding summer song. He was wearing J-lo sweats. Continuing on, next was Nino's, which made him sound like he as 12 (cutesy and again, early nineties) and made him wear the ugliest plaid shirt. Next was Ohno's, which was N*Sync sounding but he's just too smooth with his dancing. Next was Sho's which presented him in a white pimp suit with a cane and all. And MatsuJun's? Seriously, HOTTEST THING EVER. I was hyperventilating throughout the entire thing. It starts out with him walking into the huge monitor into a digital world of S&M ladies that basically take off his jacker, outer shirt, and inner shirt. He comes out with an open shirt and repeatedly shrugs it off and on. If that;s not enough, he repeatedly gyrates and hip thrusts like crazy. He knows he's hot and he works it. Plus, his song was really good, think a pop version of a MIA song.
Some other highlights because I cannot remember for the life of me:
*Nino rubs Ohno's ass during one song and keeps on doing it even though Ohno tries to stop him.
*Ohno pecks MatsuJun's face during A Day in Our Life and then MatsuJun grabs his face and makes out with him.
*They do a hide-and-seek game that basically means that everyone except for Sho does funny little skits. Ohno and Nino are S and K? I dunno what this is but it's hilarious. Matsujun rides in on Aiba (he has a horse mask on) and does MATSUJUN SAMBA II!!!! Glittery kimono and all!
*MatsuJun gets on a cherrypicker that goes across the third floor front! I was so jealous, all those girls got to touch/pat/grab/rape Jun. He seriously had to shrug them off because some crazy bitches were trying to rip his clothes off. I bet you Sho fared no better on the other side of the stadium.
*The hottest outfits: the sparkly neo-kimonos of Right Back to You. They even had red light-sabers and did fighting dancing to it. A see-through lace ruffly top during some song I forgot. Red leathery hot ass outfits during Jidai, well except for Nino because he was wearing the red leathery hot ass outfit with CUTOFF SHORTS. WHAT. Nino usually gets the uglier of the outfits.
Here is my really shitty picture that I tried to secretly take, but dudes were everywhere so it turned out really shitty.

I also bought a lotta stuff. 3 posters, an uchiwa of EVERY member, the pamphlet, and the light up Johnny's star.

Here's ugly(!) and sweaty(!) me with the star, because I'm pretty sure you guys have no idea what I'm talking about with my eloquent descriptive words of "star-thingy."

Whew. That was long and crazed so I apologize duly!
