translation help needed!

Hello everyone:D
I've been lurking around this community a lot and its time for me to post somethin. Unfortunately this isn't a song or something like that. I'm actually writing to ask for some help.

You see, i have to do a research in my school and the thme I've cosen about is"Japanese music:Johnnys Entertainment" I know, a great themeXD
So here comes my request:would anyone be willing to help me translate the japanese wikis. That would include the early bands an the information about them too:)

I honestly hope that someone is wlling to translate from Japanes into English:D

this is a big job you know, try not to abuse translators. plus there's a lot of information in english wikis and livejournal communities, too.

What information do you actually need? Did you try first searching through the English Wikipedias and blog sites and, really, Livejournal is huge source of information; you could probably find all that you need (and then some!) by searching through various communities memories.

I'm not trying to beat you up for posting a legitimate question, but you can't expect people to just turn up and translate Wikipedia for you. That seems unreasonable (and somewhat unnecessary, for the reason I've stated before).

if you really, really want the info from wiki, you might want to offer some incentive. payment of some kind. good luck!

Thaat's a pretty huge request. I definately wouldn't take it on without some kind of payment, and I doubt anyone else who's actually good at translation would either. Especially since a lot of the info on the Japanese wikis is available in English already. Besides, the wikipedia isn't really a good source of information for a research project. Anyone can update the wiki, which means that the information can easily be incorrect.

I don't mind translating a few things for you, but please understand that I would like to avoid translating an entire wiki page, as it is extremely time-consuming on my part.

I think what would work best is if you use English wikis and other sites like LJ to find as much as you can, then ask me to translate the things you really can't find anywhere else (which I'm assuming is going to be stuff on Hikaru Genji, Shonentai, etc.)

I normally wouldn't offer my services during the school year, but I'm still on winter break until the 11th so I have some free time.

If you're interested in seeing any of my past translation work, you can just look at my LJ- my public entries are mostly translations. However as those are mostly interviews and blogs, it was much harder to interpret some of the slang and wordplay; I'm much much better at translating formal, written style like in articles.
