Hello!

I was wondering if anyone has ordered Johnny's calendars from sites like cdjapan, yesasia, hmv-japan, playasia, or any other sites? I'm asking because I want to buy the calendar, and I usually order from cdjapan, but the shipping for the calendar is around 50 dollars. All other sites offer normal shipping rates but don't have product details so I don't know if I'm getting all of the materials or not.

Can anyone tell me why cdjapan's shipping is so high? Or if anyone has ordered the calendars from other sites, did you receive everything alright?

Thanks in advance! Thanks for the quick responses guys!!

I would recommend buying from YesAsia if only for the free worldwide shipping when you purchase up to a certain amount-- especially if you're not in a particular hurry to get your hands on certain items, because even just getting several CDs at once or something can still easily save you quite a lot of money.

In the case of calendars, they definitely ship them with everything intact (I've been buying the calendars from them for three years going on four now) and again, shipping had always been free. (oh, and they've all been well packaged.)

hi.i have some alternative suggestion.
you could try asking big bookstores at your area weather you can order the calendar.i order them from kinokuniya thus i save the shipping fee altogether.do check it out.

people usually order their JE CDs from CDJ coz it helped the artist too [to get into Oricon chart]. And maybe the shipping is high because of the economy situation rite now? and also you must check/choose the shipping option and the packaging. They also count if I'm not mistaken.

calender only come from japan, i mean, no Over Sea edition or anything so they should be just the same as the one sold in CDJ ^^

I agree with yuucho, if the city you live in has a Kinokuniya bookstore, big chance you can order the calender from them. I did that every year.
Good luck! ^^

I wouldn't say this. Sometimes stuff I ordered from yesasia makes it to my house in Germany in less than a week. It really depends, I guess.

ye that's true. but in yesasia's case it's a lottery, where as with EMS you pay so that it will always arrive earlier.

Yeah, but in my case yesasia is best because they don't go via the tax people. I remember paying 10 euros extra for the Last Princess DVD I ordered from cdjapan, whereas my HYD Final Premium and what not edition just made it through to me without nosy goverment officials, cause I bought it from yesasia.

I checked out cdjapan the other day and somehow only Arashi's calendar had super expensive shipping...
Other JE calendars had cheaper shipping prices, as far as I know.
Maybe it is due to the content of the calendar.
I usually get mine from Kinokuniya so I can't help you about the packaging and stuff.

i order all my stuff from yesasia. everything has come intact and i've never had problems with them. plus the free shipping = awesome, you just have to wait a bit longer (like 5-9 days) than you would if you paid for shipping.

I was looking at this as well, and I found that the reason cdjapan has such high shipping is that they base the shipping cost on weight, and the Arashi calendar this year weighs 1400g, which is much more than the others (I think KAT-TUN's is 700g for example) and certainly much heavier than CDs, etc.

I'd suggest, like others have already, buying it from yesasia as they have free shipping if you spend about $2 more on something, and in the case of such a heavy item, it is probably well worth it. Hope this helps!

Er.. i dont know why CD japan is higher, eventhough they use EMS, but HMV also use ems but still doesnt cost that much.. I ordered calendar from HMV before and it arrived safely and all in a good condition and not lacking of anything :3
I would reccomend HMV <3 but if you have Kinokuniya (or japanese bookstore) around you it would be better to order from them :D
