Hello everyone. First time posting here..i think, Anyway have a request. I'm self teaching myself piano which is kind of hard since I'm my own teacher anyway I've been trying to play some Arashi songs on it since I've got the scores and all but since I'm still learning it's still  hard, so I was wondering if anyone could simplify it for me? At the moment i can play the first line of Niji but that's it :( sad huh? can't really figure out the rest of the notes or where to put my hands *sigh*  this would help me out alot. Thanks.

Just wondering, but which version of Niji are you using? (I know there are a lot out there..)
I transcribed the concert version a while ago to score.. if you're interested, its on my LJ. The concert version is actually a lot easier than the recorded one, so you might try that. (Plus, I think its prettier when its more simple) =D
If you're still having trouble, you can PM me, and I'd be glad to write in fingerings that I use. That might help you get the hang of things. =]
Good luck!

I got your message, I just couldn't reply to it because of the privacy setting. ^^
I'll be working on the fingerings since so many people asked, so don't worry about it. I'll get back to you when I'm done... just not quite sure when that'll be. :)

I think it's awesome that you're learning to play piano and attempting Arashi songs no less. My piano teacher used to write out which fingers i should use to press which keys (that was back when i was 5 or 6), so maybe you could try that? And also marking the accidentals in the score. I remember it being a lot easier that way. Oh and practising left hand and right hand separately helps a lot. I'm sure other pianists will have much better advice (i quit lessons when i was 12 lol!) just keep practising and don't give up! Ganbare! v(^__^)v

Hey! I'm glad you're trying to learn piano! It's not easy to do. Niji is not one of the easiest songs to start out with because of the syncopated rhythms. If you want, I can start simplifying other songs. I'll try to search for a song that is easy to simplify, but most songs have a lot going on it it, so it still may be hard. Is there any favorite song that you had? Let me know!

This might help...

Hello! Just want to thank you first for all the posts, links and files, it really brings a smile to my day each time I see a new post, esp about Arashi! Needless to say, I'm a huge fan of the boys, esp Ohno and Sho chan.

So, about the piano, I was teaching my friend how to play too, she hasn't tried before. After several fruitless attempts, we figured a way out - first is to get someone who knows how to read the score. Then, get that same someone to draw out the piano keys for you, as in literally. So on your paper you'll see the piano keys right? Don't need much, just 2 octaves. Then you number the keys, for example 'C' is 1, 'D' is 2, 'G' is 5 and so on. All the black keys you just add a '#' to it. So say 'C sharp' will be 1#. Make sense? Then just write the numbers out as if they were the keys..this you'll need someone who can read the score. Are you a Singaporean? Cos if you are..well, I have a couple of Arashi scores too, we can meet up :) Let me know if this works for u!

You are welcome :) In fact, I went to the arashi_yuuki LJ page the other day and downloaded off a load of their song sheets..it's really not easy, especially Niji! Let's gambatte together, ne?

P.S. I saw your request to comment before you add friends, hope you can accept my friend request!
