II. About JE

Q. What is JE?
A. JE is short for Johnny's Entertainment (and for you leet Japanese speakers ジャニーズ事務所, hence all the "OMG JYANIZU" posts), a comapny that hires nubile pretty young boys and lets them bitchslap each otherwork hard to get to the top. If you're cute and optionally talented enough, you'll be grouped in a sub-group or maybe even a band if you're a Rucky Man.

A. Yes my child. In fact, JE has been around since the 60's. I am only giving you a partial listing of JE groups/talents that you will encounter if you watch enough j-TV: The Johnny's, The Four Leaves, Go Hiromi, Tahara Toshihiko, Kondou Masahiko, Shibugakitai, Otokogumi, Shounentai, Hikaru Genji, SMAP, TOKIO, V6, Kinki Kids, Takki & Tsubasa, NEWS, and I guess KAT-TUN.

Q. QUICK! I'm going to Japan and I need to know where all the goodz are!
A: Look in the memories.

Q. OMG like, I'm going to be in Japan when they're having a concert!! BUT OMG HOW DO I GET TICKETS?!?!
A: There are several ways to get tickets. The best way is to make friends with someone with a Japanese address/someone already in the Arashi fanclub and get them to request a ticket for you. The next best thing is to Yahoo Auctions it up. In order to bid, you need a Japanese shipping address and enough know-how/people you know who can discuss payment with the seller and/or pay for the ticket through a postal order (unless you have a bank account/japanese credit card). The third option is to guy them at overly ridiculous prices from super shady idols shops/the scalpers who loiter around outside. BUYER BEWARE: JE sometimes cracks down hard on scalped tickets, so if you buy yours illicitly you may be denied access to the venue. No, you can't do anything about it just keep that in mind before you bid 20000 yen for a ticket.

Q. Have the Pikanchi movies been subbed?!
A. Not yet. I am subbing them through Kioku Fansubs so just be patient.

Yes, we are the first ever Arashi community in LJ, created by the lovely [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] way back in the day (where were YOU in 2002?). Don't settle for anything less than the original!

Requesting Files

Although we love wank we'd appreciate it if you were CLEAR and CONCISE about what it is you want from us. We love uploading but please say ahead of time that you can't use megaupload or something (and most of the time just wait a damn hour before downloading again) and please refrain from requesting the entire discography or videography of Arashi.

No-No's

It's okay to sell crap on this journal, but please, if you're a resale company and you're spammingtrying to promote? You'll earn yourself an earful from us mods. An earful of pain.

NO CROSSPOSTING We may let you go if you've only crossposted to ONE AND NO MORE THAN ONE other community, but as of April 18, 2006, we've deemed icon crossposting/community promoting to be annoying spam that shows up on your friendspage wayyy too many times to condone anymore. More info here.

We're trying to keep wank/flame wars/lulz/"omg myspace haxxorz!" at a relative minimum (though wank is admittedly the air the mods breathe). Hence, if you think what you're going to post will incite massive ball tripping of the worst kind, then maybe you should think twice. If you do decide to post a "(insert Arashi member/community member) SUCKS!!!!!111" type post then we will delete it and also laugh at you. We do what we want. Related to this, we understand if you hate on other JE people (we do all the time), but let's keep the hate humorous and all in good fun. Remember kids, if you're on the verge of posting a "OMG I H8 U" comment; sit back, breathe deeply, remember that the internet does not equal serious business, have a chocolate bar, and then rethink whether you really need to tell someone to STFU.

We the mods, and other generous people, upload sooper seckret and exclusive filez for you all from time to time and we will friends lock that business. Be smart kids, don't gank that shit and post it to 8012 other places because believe us, we will find it. We don't have real lives, all we do is police the interwebs and digitally beat offenders with our e-nightsticks. I'm Chinese, i'll send you a virus.

Why would you ever ask how do join split files/get subtitles to work as a separate post? It's okay to ask in the comments of something but to make a whole post (and subsequently xpost it to 8012 other communities)? That'll get you a one way ticked to Pwntville.

Remember: Google is your friend. If you ask a dumb question that can easily be answered by Google then don't have a fit if someone pwns you.

Locking Upload Entries

Basically, it's up to you. If it's megaupload and you don't care about callous leechers then do what you want. But if you want to keep it on the down low then friends lock it, so you know, we can police who ganks what.

Large Obnoxious Picture Policies

Try to limit yourselves to only one or two small pictures outside of a cut. If you're going to have more of those/really really large pictures put them behind a cut please to spare out dial up modems (LOL)/prevent the stretching of our pretty lj layouts.
