AU CM

I don't know if this has been posted already but I stumbled across these ads for the AU phone company. Here's the one with Matsumoto in it.

If this has already been posted and translated, someone just let me know and I'll delete this post. Just thought I'd share in case it hadn't been yet.

Update: urasora corrected my translation, and manastar re-wrote the whole thing (see the comments for that). Thanks to both!



Here's a translation of the CM:

Matsumoto: Eh? You're going abroad? Where? 

Harada: Vienna. From my dad's referral.

Matsumoto: That's awesome. When are you leaving? 

Harada: In the spring.

Matsumoto: Next year? (Harada is silent) This year??

Harada: Starting this spring...for a year. Don't come see me off.

Matsumoto: Why? 

Harada: Then I wouldn't want to leave...

(At the airport. Overhead speaker lady says: "The flight to Vienna is now departing")

Male actor: Do your best.

Harada: I will. (She sees Matsumoto and her friends playing the piano on their phones) Everyone!

Matsumoto: Don't overwork yourself.

Male friend: Take care, Natsuki!



There are definitely problems with my translation so someone please point them out as you see them and I'll correct this and credit you for helping me.

Also if someone knows the name of the actress in the CM, please tell me! She looks so familiar but I can't place where I've seen her before. Stupid memory.

Update: Thanks to morebecksplease  and angelfirebabe I found out that the actress is  Natsuki Harada from the fantastic Japanese drama Honey and Clover. Thank you!

I agree. This commercial is not realistic at all I think. Who wants to leave Matsumoto like that? Still, I think it was a really touching CM. (^^)
