megaupload problems

hi there, sorry if this isn't allowed,
but currently theres been a problem with megaupload for me.
i dont know if its only me, or if any one of you have this problem too
but when i try to download things, or even just get on megaupload.com
"This service is temporarily not available from your service area."
would show.
is there anyway full files can be sent to mediafire instead?

under those links that are not useful
there is a part (middle of the page)
"Megaupload Premium Link Generator Guide"
follow the instructions

Like, if you have a
MU link http;//www.megaupload.com/?d=xxxxxxxx
copy that "xxxxxxxx"(ref ID) into the box
under "The color in red is the refID"
then click "Generate Premium Link"

If the ID is valid it should direct you to a page
in the middle of which you should find a button saying "Continue to Download" and
you click that
and you will se "Download Now" (again at the middle of the page)

And clicking that
downloading will start



And that should work
but only for files under 500mb

Megaupload sometimes does not work in certain countries. I think there is a limit to how many people can be downloading at one time, or something like that So you just have to wait and try again later, unless you want to get a paid account. Paid account users can access MU at any time no matter what country they are from.

No, full files cannot be uploaded to MF. MF has a limit on the file size, and most full files are too big to be uploaded all in one file.

Only MF pro users can upload full files.

But the files > 100MB arent downloadable when the uploader reverts back to a free account.

Yah..that happens to me when i tried to download stuff, I think they block all the Hong Kong IPs, so now I have heaps of download that I can't get throught :(

Yeah, that's what I was wondering. I just came back from Toronto, and it seems that MU doesn't work here in HK, which made me sad. But at least I see that others are having the same problem, so it's not just my internet acting up or something. Hmn, hope it'll eventually work itself out?

You guys can try using Firefox web browser instead of Internet Explorer. MU hates IE and non-premium users can only download up to 500MB a day max.

MU is blocked in some countries, just like some streaming sites eg Veoh's access is country specific too.

MU's HQ is in HK.
The only reason why we can't connect is to remove controversy from locals (And/or they are being threatened by local media here).
However bypassing is easy for any person who can read English. >.>
