It is a place where fans can bring up issues you may otherwise be too afraid or find it inappropriate to approach respective teams or users about, and you can also draw attention to your favorite aspects for new or even not so new fans. And who knows, perhaps you will discover new subbers or translators you've previously overlooked?

So please, think more of it as a way to help new fans (and even old fans) and spend some little time to comment thoughtfully on this meme. Thank you!

Incidentally, I just graduated college with a degree in Japanese. I'm interested in getting involved with a translating/subbing group as a hobby. But I'm not sure about how much time is required and if my Japanese is really good enough to do it...

The subbers themselves don't get to choose whether they post their name. I think you're playing a dangerous game there, if you really want to steer clear of wank.

Hello,

We have taken that into consideration, but we also think establishing a relationship where people can be on equal footing with the subbers and translators is ultimately a good thing, since most people, if asked, would be disinclined to provide negative comments from the people who do the work themselves. Most of the comments have been positive, and if not then at least constructive in offering suggestions on how to make their works even better. Thank you for your concern, though!

u are right, feedback to make subbers/translators improve its great
hopefully u also realize that not all comments is positive. lot of them is bashing in a very creative way

I guess you started this topic with good intention but from what I've read in the comments stated are rather harsh; esp to some new fansubbers/translator. Hopefully this doesn't demoralized them. People shouldn't take this as an advantage/opportunity to slash out and criticizing them but rather inform them what they can do to improve it. If you guys want to list a problem then try to suggest a solution along with it. Whatever it is, do really appreciate everyone who has subbed, translated and everything else for us to enjoy the arashi clips! =D
