Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone knew what brand jacket Sho is wearing in this picture?

I've seen other Japanese celebrities wearing jackets like this (like Hidemi Uematsu in her Jidai PV) and I really like them. I would love to get one for myself but I don't know who makes them... it says Killeen on his jacket, but I checked that and that's not a clothing brand. Its just a city in Texas. If anyone could help me I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

I'm pretty sure it's of no particular brand. It's just a varsity/letterman jacket for a school in that city. Almost every school in the U.S. has a jacket like this. You can easily buy one on the web from any varsity jacket provider :]

I have no clue, to be honest xD;; It's probably seen as something fashionable in Japan to wear them. So they probably produce them on their own to look like varsity jackets. I doubt it's from any major clothing brand, though.

If you're really interested in buying one, though, you can order one here (http://collegejackets.com/).

a lot of clothes sold in asia dont have like a certain brand name. theres a lot of clothes that are just sold in local stores but not in a particular chain of stores. it's probably really local stuff.

Yep, it's just a varsity jacket, that kind of you see american dudes wearing in high school movies.
This particular one Sho is wearing is vintage ( check the date on the badge "Stage band 1961"), so it would be expensive and difficult to find...
However, a lot of brands sell this style of jacket around ( i think Nike does a lot of them ), or you can order a original online like neocopasetic said !

I love these too.I used to dream about having a blue and yellow varsity like that.

Yeah it's just an old high school band jacket. Here's an example on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-CR-Central-Band-High-School-Jacket-w%2f-Pins_W0QQitemZ370105260721QQcmdZViewItem

If you are in the high school band, particularly the marching band, you usually can buy one. But they are more for sports usually. But Sho is wearing a band jacket.

Depending on where you are if you call a Salvation Army or other thrift store they could probably tell you if they had any and you could probably get it really really cheap.

oh yeah it even says on it "stage band 1961" so it wasn't even the marching band! So it's from some school probably in Texas. Somebody probably sold it to a second hand shop.

Am I the only one that thought the jacket was just a look-a-like?
I mean, there's a chance that it's a real Letterman's Jacket from Killeen High School, but I kind of doubt that.
It's more likely that there's a little store somewhere in Japan that sells an assortment of American goods or something, that happens to sell jackets styled after Letterman/Varsity jackets.
There's also the fact that the jacket doesn't really look like leather, at least to me. Which is the common material used for letterman jackets. I'm sure there are schools out there that don't use leather, but I haven't run across any yet.
There's also the fact that those jackets are expensive and a memento of a person's High School or College life. So I really doubt anyone would sell them. Especially since they tend to be personalized. It'd be like selling your class ring! D=

Sho is probably just wearing a jacket that was fashioned after varsity jackets.

Actually, I think it's the real deal. Somehow it found it's way into a Japanese thrift store. I know sometimes when clothes have printed mistakes on them or a store makes too much of them they're sent to either charities or thrift stores and somehow they find a way to other countries.

Crazy but true story time!!!
This happened when I was studying abroad in Japan (Machida city). One time I was waiting for a bus, when this guy comes up wearing a letterman jacket from MY high school. It was seriously too close to mine to be fake....same colors, same material and everything. It even had the CL on the front (from Clear Lake High School) with "debate" in the middle.
Naturally, I HAD to talk to him. I asked him if he had gone to school in the US and he was like (translated) "...uh...no...". Then I told him about the jacket and he was like "Whoa?! Really? I got this at a thrift store."
It's fun to think of a jacket changing so many hands over the years that it ends up on the back of a college kid in a Tokyo suburb.

Crazy but true story time end!!!

Yes, thrift stores in Japan sell lots of things you wouldn't expect. I saw more Popples than I ever thought I would (google popple if your childhood did not include these, but needless to say I never thought I'd see used ones in Japan).

It looks pretty authentic to me. It looks aged and has proper wording, look, etc.

I guess it is possible that it could be expensive but it could be cheap, too.

I actually think it's more possible you can get one cheap. Not too many people cling to their high school stuff for more than a few years. I have absolutely no idea where my high school shirts/sweatshirts are. Even a jacket would just be household clutter to some after a time.

you could maybe find something similar at Hanjiro. They have a Rakuten website.
yea lots of japanese fashion these days are influenced on americana/preppy/sporty styles. i wouldn't be surprised if that jacket was made from some really expensive streetwear brand.
