It's kind of funny that you can hear Sho in places. If they'd just used the instrumental track that came on the single the only thing you'd be able to hear is the harmony/backup singers. Which would still be in Japanese, lol.

I imagine either JE a) didn't give a shit because it's such a laughably blatent attempt at plagerism or b) actually did take some sort of legal action and it was so long ago most new fans don't know about it or it's been forgotten.

Also, if this wasn't actually released as a single and put on the market, they probably just ignored it. I'm pretty sure the various JE affiliated companies that produce JE variety shows don't have rights to the plethora of foreign songs they use as background music, so they can't be too nitpicky.

wow - if Mr. Johnny hasn't seen this already, that group should be prepared to lose their singing career XD
They didn't change the music at all and they still have some, if not all, of the lyrics (I'm not 100% sure because I don't know what they're saying). Both are copyrighted so mr. johnny totally has the right to sue. Plus, with his influence, he'll definately win the case ;P

I think it's not so bad and since it's been for so many years, I don't think Johnny care about them that much and if he did care, he would probably done something about them long time ago unless he didn't know about this.

As long as they didn't make a money out Arashi's song,or sale the song in their language, then I think it should be fine. If they get the money from Arashi song then that's a problem.

I don't care much about the performance itself because Arashi's perfs from way back when were pretty amusing too. It's just weird that other people are taking credit for the song while they're playing the original karaoke version in the back o_o

OMG, what a total ripped off and a copy cat. Why the creditor claiming it is composed by liu ya jue. that itself, is an indecent proposal waiting to be sued. It is true that the chinese music industry often re-chinese (ie. using same melody but translate the lyric to chinese) songs. there are plenty of example and this is known since I was in elementary school!

If they are covering A.R.A.S.H.I, I won't much as much (coz it show how arashi has a lot of influence), but I think in this matter, I think they are ripping it off, coz they even change the composer name!


gosh! I can clearly hear the song in japanese at the background. It hard not to be unable to hear the difference between the lyrics that they sang and the background. Isn't it weird that the background lyrics is different? LOL

anyway, ARASHI is much cooler and better version, and of course they are better looking and dancer.

If this version is the first that I heard, I can swear that , I will not like the song (AELION?). But ARASHI no ARASHI, caught my heart and soul ever since the first time I hear it. Arashi boys has amazing alluring power!

it's true that arashi just debuted not that long at that time and wasn't as popular as they are now...but i wonder if copyright infringement has any time limit? if they don't maybe johnny can still sue them...it's not a matter of whether johnny care much abt this and all, it's a money making chance for johnny afterall, especially since arashi is so popular right now?though i doubt other ppl would be so stupid now to do the same thing, but it's not good to give exceptions in case this kind of this happens again...

further more, it's national sports event in beijing right? it's pretty disgraceful for the china organiser to do this...and i think the performers are indeed paid to do the performance...in a sense, i guess the pay should go to our boys instead...

It just pisses me off that they changed who the composer was. I really don't like the idea of someone claiming it as their own song. And I hate inadequate covers. The fact that they didn't fix the karaoke track and change it to mandarin back ups and kept the Japanese backups pisses me off because it's so sub-quality. I would never want a Beijing official event to be scarred by a massively incompetent cover that screams suing probabilities. They'd better be grateful Arashi didn't have the following it does now back when they did this or else more than a million fangirls/boys would be trying to get their hands on the necks of these guys.
