Arashi no Waza Ari! (OA July 24)

arashi_onThe boys have pulled into Tokyo Bay (OMG, they didn't spend a whole week on the boat did they?!!!) and Nino is still sea sick. While the rest of the crew introduce themselves, Nino is lying in a corner with a towel over his forehead. When they ask him to say hello, he flashes a peace sign at the camera. Sho asks him what's the thing that he wants to do most and Nino replies: "I want to go home."
This week's 「大人の味な旅」 also features Aiba and Oh-chan! *pumps fist* They are in Yokohama and the guest for the day is Matsui Naomi and she's super genki! She does all these strong hand movements when she talks - hee hee, reminds me of a friend. ^^ She tells them that she's going to take them to a museum (sounds very adult-y, doesn't it?!) only we find out later that it's a... RAAMEN MUSEUM!!! *mouth waters* They've built up the inside of the museum so it resembles a whole street of raamen stores. Man, everything looks so yummy!
Oh-chan: I want to try all of them!
So that's what they do. ^^
Both Aiba and Ohno say that they can never have enough raamen. And that's the truth because they polished off all 8 bowls between the 3 of them - the soup as well! And I suspect Matsui-san didn't do all that much eating either.
Next, they visit... a CURRY MUSEUM. (See what I mean about this becoming an eating show?! And also, is Yokohama full of food museums or what?!) This museum as gathered from all over Japan over 300 different types of curry. Well, now we know that the Japanese love their curry. Come to think of it though, I never did end up trying curry when I was there, and I lived across the street from a curry house - damn. Each gets asked to choose a curry that they most want to eat and a dish is prepared for them:
Ohno: I like hot currys.
Staff: Do you like hot currys? Right, we'll prepare a SUPER HOT curry for you.
Ohno (looking a little distressed): Super hot?!
Aiba asks for the No.1 curry and Matsui-san wants to try a Japanese-style curry.
Aiba ends up with this roasted curry, which at first glance looked a bit like lasagne to me.
Aiba: Wah! Just by looking at it, you can tell it's going to be good.
Ohno: Well, in that case, you don't need to eat it!
Hahaha, Aiba likes it so much he shouts out "UMAI!" with his mouth full. Hahaha! Careful Aiba! Don't choke! Matsui-san's one looks very very nice, and she keeps praising how yummy it is. Ohno's one is super hot! It's hotness is off the scales. He comments: "If I kept eating this, I think I'd die." But he keeps eating, he doesn't even need to drink water! Wah! 大ちゃん！！！スゴイなぁ～！ Ohno lets Aiba and Matsui-san try his curry, Matsui-san find it so hot, she slaps Ohno on the arm!
He then apologises for everyone's bad reactions (to his curry).
They take the curry back to Arashi no minna. There's 6 different types, one of them is super hot and the others are normal. Nino is sick so he doesn't eat any, but Sho, Jun and Kitaro all say their curries are nice. Ohno says his is only so-so because it's not hot enough. Aiba eats this black curry, he doesn't like it so he feeds it to Oh-chan. Oh-chan actually says it's not bad.
Obviously the only curry left is the really hot one and they janken to see who has to eat it... and the loser is... Aiba-chan! Wah, poor thing! He tried to dampen the hotness by eating more plain rice to wash it down. He passes it to Ohno who looks at him sympathetically and then gives it to Sho-kun who takes a small bite.
Sho: You're over-reacting. (Obviously, Sho didn't find it very hot.)
Back to the trip! Matsui-san takes them to... a SWEETS MUSEUM! Man, there are cakes and ice-cream and... ah... I'm in heaven!!! They try this plum cream cheese pie and Ohno can't help repeating how delicious it tasted. Seems like he really liked it coz he goes and buys another one! Seems like Ohno really likes sweet and spicy things. ^^
Well, having eaten all day, it time for our boys to do some work, and they've been assigned to make a cake each. The wear these chef's top hats and Aiba looks EXTRA tall in his. The cake chef makes a cake for them to see first. He makes this white heart-shaped cake with raspberries on top. And then he whisks up this sugary syrup which he sort of flicks in the air and it solidifies into cob-webby strands! スゴイ！ It sits on top of the cake that he made like a wedding veil! OMG! I wouldn't be able to bear eating the cake if it looked that beautiful.
Ohno wants to make a cake exactly like the one the chef made. And Aiba wants to make an original cake that will be better than the chef's. Hahaha! Basically, what Aiba does is pile ingredient upon ingredient, so his cake sort of resembles a 10-decker hamburger! It's so tall, the assistant has to hold it from toppling over. Oh-chan's one comes along very nicely! Ah, yappari, the artistic talent. ^^ When Oh-chan does that whisking sugar syrup thingy, Aiba decides he wants to have some on his hamburger-cake as well. _ _"

Matsui-san said both cakes tasted nice, but the winner was Oh-chan!
Their dinner was sushi. Fresh made, right in front of them!!! Wah, sorry, can't tell you much about it, coz once again, haven't had time to watch the whole show, I sort of just skipped thru for caps, but damn, the sushi they were being served was A-class stuff!!! YUM!!!
The loser this week was once again Aiba-chan. Ah, poor guy, he doesn't get to eat Dozeu nabe. They played paper-sumo and no matter how hard Aiba tried, his sumo always fell down first. He tried to ask the cook for another serving but the cook said that there was no more. Then Nino woke up and was asked if he wanted some nabe but Aiba wouldn't let him have any until Nino had versed him. Ah, poor Aiba, Nino didn't even do anything, Aiba just kept thumping on his side and his own sumo fell down to its own accord. The cook then went to get another serving for Nino where hence Aiba yelled: "Hey! You said there was no more!"
Next week: It looks like it's Aiba and Ohno again! They go to... uh... sea world?! Hahaha, wouldn't it be funny if they had seafood. ^^ Anyway, I think Aiba and Ohno must have gotten pretty close, filming together for 3 weeks in a row. ^^

Hey! I love seeing Aiba and MatsuJun too! My fav Arawaza episode is the May 8th one, where they go to Hatsushima and visit the local primary. Awww... that episode never fails to cheer me up. ^^ But I've developed an affinity towards Ohno's idiosyncratic antics and I sincerely hope he appears more often on the tours. Oh, and I have a feeling its going to be Ohno and Aiba until the end of these summer specials. Otanoshimi. ^^
