I just realized I got a newsletter from CD Japan about the Yatterman DVD so I thought I'd share here, since I don't think anyone else has, and I know I've been dying to know when it comes out so I figured someone else would want to know too! ^__^ (If I did something wrong please feel free to delete, I'm not sure because this is my first comm post)

DVD release of the film "Yatterman" based on Japanese hit TV anime of the same name. Directed by Takashi Miike. Stars Sho Sakurai (Arashi), Saki Fukuda, Kyoko Fukada, and more! As with original anime series, many unique mechas such as Yatter-Wan, Yatter-King, and villain's machines appear. This live action version additionally depicts forbidden love between Yatterman and a leader of villain Doronjo.

Includes two bonus disc. Bonus disc 1 includes commentary by Sho Sakurai, Katsuhisa Namase, Takashi Miike, and Kyoko Fukada. Bonus Disc 2 includes making-of with cast comments, music clip for Doronbo dance, making-of starring voice artists of anime series who are also appear in the film, Visual Special Effect, Art of Yatterman, Characer & Mecha profile, trailer & TV spots, stills, and more footage. Also includes booklet.

Man, if they had a version without a bonus disk that put it down to more like 2000-3000 yen I would totally get it. But I can't really pay $50 for one movie right now... :\

I know it's expensive, I'm gonna have to wait and see if they get a cheaper one out, I just thought I'd let everyone know.

yeah me too. i hope they will release another version with english subtitle.. maybe US or HK or Korean version, as long as it has english sub..

not sure if it's possible though (>_<)

Yeah I am hoping they bring one out with English subtitles too. They did have a good turnout in NY so maybe they might release it later with subs for fans overseas.
