Nino - Strangers on a Train?

hey everyone, i have a quick question. Ive been seeing all these posts on nino's butai and it looks AWESOME. Do plays ever get released on dvd? or does anyone know if this will be released on dvd so hopeully someone can sub it? *wishful thinking* Because even if I somehow make it over to japan to see this butai, I wouldnt understand a thing. so please let me know.

i want a dvd too!! the play just started so its way too early to know yet but like drea_c said theres a tensei kunpuu dvd but tensei kunpuu was in 2006 and the dvd wasnt released till 2008!! T^T we may have a lot of waiting to do D: please release a dvd johnny!!

Tensei Kunpuu is pretty much the only exception I've seen so far for Arashi plays, but Koichi has a few Endless Shock DVDs out. I think Ohno's play was released on DVD because the Puu series was long running, so it was a commemoration of sorts. Considering the huge number of stand-alone JE plays that have never made it to DVD, unfortunately it's pretty unlikely that Nino's play will come out on DVD.

Yes! Seeing/reading all those promos for Greenfingers was killing me. Not to mention the fact that Aiba hasn't been in a drama in...ever, practically. I'd like to see him act once in a while, JE. D:

no, dont say unlikely! NOOOOOO. Ugh i would give anything!! But i really like the idea of spamming some baystorm. Lets make our voices heard!! loll. but seriously is there anyway to maybe petition?

This is just my personal opinion, but I don't think spamming baystorm would be a good idea unless the messages are in very good Japanese. I think a bunch of broken Japanese / foreign language messages will get ignored, or run the risk of annoying Nino if he actually sees them. Plus Arashi members don't really have a say. There's J-storm staff involved at bay storm, but I don't know how much say they even have since they're not in marketing/sales. I suppose it couldn't hurt to send a petition to J-storm, but it might be a little late to do that since the play has already started (they'd have to put together a camera crew and such). I also think you'd need a loooot of signatures, especially from Japanese fans. I remember there was one for the ONE tour started by Japanese fans, and it wasn't successful =/

Maybe just one email to Baystorm done with perfect Japanese and really polite request might do? Or we can email straight to Ackerman production company. Fans around the world are DYING to see this butai. I don't feel its too late since it just only started.

Anybody knows Ackerman's production company website?
It should be printed on the pamphlet or something. At least a name of the production company...

This is just my own theory but, they may not have a choice in whether it gets released or not. With Aiba's stage plays both were based on American movies (and maybe books), and I think the copyrights get messy when it comes to releasing them on DVD.

I'm pretty sure Ohno's play was an original story, not based on a book or movie from outside Japan.

Nino's is based both on a book and a movie, just reinvented a bit, so I doubt it will be released on DVD, unfortunately. We'll really just have to wait and see...
