[MOD] Rules + layout contest

arashi_onA few new rules have been added to the existing ones in the community profile, so it would be absolutely great if everyone can go and take a look-- not just for myself, but for your own sake too, so you will know if your posts are going to be deleted. In case it's too hard to find them, I'll list them here as well:
☆ Duplicate posts on things such as news, rumours or fan-voted polls and rankings that have already been shared on the community will be deleted. However, downloads, scans, fansubs and translations will be exempt from this rule as they are subjective and may vary in quality.
☆ Community advertisements are, for the most part, allowed as long as they adhere to the rest of the community rules and are either a one-time occurrence, or advertised a maximum of once every six months; this also applies to recurring memes, such as hate memes or friending memes. The only exception to this rule at present time are fan meet-ups, but if posts are made too frequently to the community a request to ease up on them may be issued.
☆ Try to keep your fonts regular-sized without changing the colour.
Most of these rules have actually been in practice in the community for quite some time now, but I figured I'd make it official for the sake of clarification. And as always, if you haven't taken a look at the rules yet, I highly suggest doing so!
Next order of business (and pretty much the whole point of this post), there will be a new layout contest for the community! While this current one is great and all, it's always nice for a bit of a change, and community layouts are no different. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want to see what I come up with, so a layout contest it is :) The winner will be able to pick from the sets of prizes I've provided in this post, and of course be credited for their work on the community.
Entries will be accepted from 08/01/2009 to 08/16/2009 at 11:59 PM EST. Please read through this entry carefully before submitting, and good luck! ♥
- RULES -
- All layouts must be submitted to this post only; all comments are screened.
- You can only submit a maximum of one layout for the contest.
- The layout must feature all five members of Arashi in some way.
- The layout must also meet all the requirements listed below, with the entry form completed in full.
- If the layout does not adhere to any of the rules mentioned above, it will be automatically voided.
- In order to keep this as fair as possible, please do not show your layout to other members of the community or inform them which is yours.
- LAYOUT REQUIREMENTS -
Style. S2 styles only, preferably Smooth Sailing or a similar theme where a full list of options (read/comment/edit/tag/etc.) is displayed for every post. Must work for basic account.
Header. Must state "arashi_on" and the subheading "The original Arashi LJ community" somewhere on it.
Sidebar. Must include a tags list (not cloud!), a links section, and at least one free text area.
Entries. Must include a subject line and date, as well as userpics displayed on every post.
Extras. Though not required, a bonus prize will be awarded if you also make a new matching default userpic and profile header for the community.

Preview URL: (note: please use either a test journal or an external site to host your CSS; make at least one post on this journal/page, showing what bold, italics, links and so forth look like, and tag the post)

There are seven sets available for the winner to pick and choose the one they want (please do not ask for combinations of sets or to switch items around!):
Set #1: Includes three magazine pin-ups featuring Sho (2003), Nino/Yamapi (2003), Jun (2005)
Set #2: Includes five official chirashi (flyers) for Pika**nchi: Life is hard dakara happy, Arashigoto, Kakushi Toride no San Akunin: The Last Princess (two versions), Hana Yori Dango Final
Set #3: Includes three official shop photos (one from 2001, one from 2007, one from 2009)
Set #4: Includes mini uchiwa from Johnny's Shop (2007), official Kansha Kangeki Ame Arashi postcard + postcard holder, official Pika**nchi Double postcard, stickers from Pika**nchi: Life is hard dakara happy DVD
Set #5: Includes FC pamphlets #35 (AAA+ in dome) and #36 (Time)
Set #6: Includes FC pamphlets #37 (Time FINAL) and #38 (solo activities)
Set #7: Includes FC pamphlets #40 (Dream "A" live) and #41 (AAA2008)
As per usual, if I'd forgotten to mention anything or you aren't sure about a certain rule or requirement, feel free to comment here or PM/email me and I will get back to you ASAP. The tentative voting period will take place from 08/17/2009 to 08/20/2009 at 11:59 PM EST. In the event that we have no entries to the contest, I'll probably just whip up a layout on my own-- just don't complain about how awful it is afterwards XD
