Now if I'm a semi-professional icon-maker-goddess (which I sadly am not), I might add here at the end, "if you would like to view more of my icons, please visit my [insert personal icon collection LJ/site]." Something like that. Now this doesn't seem spammy right? At least I made ya slightly happy and shared the lovelies and now I try subtly to pimp my life's work to ya. See, that's perfectly acceptable. Of course please don't crosspost this to 2734624564368 places as well, if not such a post will be considered taboo and deleted [even with the pic spam]!!!

jankenpwned's post as being biatchy for the sake of being biatchy. It is not meant to be a personal attack (at least I don't see it as such) rather, it reflects the way that arashi_on will henceforth deal with this growing problem of LJ-spamming. The problem with arashi fandom on LJ is that there are 32846285646374623794562 related communities with overlapping and so bloody similar functions that sometimes even I do not know where to post what.
I'll admit I for one am guilty of crossposting (though I try to keep it to only 2 comms at most). Personally I'll want to cut down on any crossposting unless it's absolutely necessary. The main gripe we have with serial crossposters is that you see their posts like 7326547246596543 times on your FL and believe me, posting that many times is actually counter-productive. That's because most people will treat it just as what it is. SPAM.
Most of us are in pretty much that same handful of JE comms and we will DEFINITELY take notice of your post of icons/banners/fics if it's interesting to us. I like looking at icons, which is why I joined for example,je_graphics or je_icons in the first place. We are not dissing people who make icons, write fanfics etc, in fact I thank you very much for making arashi your creative muses. But please post in comms meant for these works (this is also one way to raise the profile of those other comms). Thank you.
Lastly I just want to say that tough love from mods is better than no love from us. *LOL* We do want this comm to be the most bad-assed arashi comm in LJ (I DO!), in an incredibly good way of course. Yes arashi discussions are welcome, pic spams are welcome, vids sharing is welcome, interesting observations and translations would be awesome etc etc.... man the possibilities are endless. There are so many members in the comm and frankly I don't have a clue how many of our members' LJ are still "alive" (I do have an rough indication from the rate at which my bandwidth is being used up though ^^;;) So please work with us in being mod-laws-abiding members. Of course, if you still think we are fascists biatches, you can quit this comm. It's called FREEDOM of CHOICE ^^♥
I'm still waiting for the day when we can have an scholarly discussion on the intricacies of the filmstyles of the pikanchi movies *LOL*

We're just saying that if you were to make your fanart and crosspost it to a zillion communities then we wouldn't be too happy. Alternatively you can crosspost it to a few communities WITH ADDED INFORMATION/QUESTIONS/MEDIA so that it is elevated from a crappy crosspost to a post with meaningful information. I thought she made that clear in the mini FAQ she wrote in the previous entry.

It's not fair for you to say this because these mods work hard to provide members with the latest Arashi-related media and new information. What you and the mods here define as "best stuff" are obviously very different. I have never seen mods so dedicated and willing to scour the internet for Arashi goodies and SHARE them here. Either you're taking this offhanded comment too much to heart, or you're just out to trample on every word they say.
Additionally, I fail to see how difficult it is to discern the names of the two communities when they're both visibly different from one another. I suggest that if you have an issue to take up with the mods here, you do it now because these girls like nothing more than people who can be up front with them.

There are fifty billion other JE communities that won't care about the x-posting even if the post is only *mildly* related to the community. SIGH.
X-posting several times really is counterproductive, but obviously some LJ users just don't understand that. We have flists for a reason, to read their entries, but when your flist is overrun with multiple x-posts (and if you're in a lot of communities, you're bound to get like 3 DIFFERENT x-posts all in a row which can easily take up an entire page).
I take this seriously, but not to the point that I ever get offended by a post and Veronica's rule changes were really not THAT offensive if you can treat the Internet with a little humour.
I always say this, but you're such an awesome mod. I'm a mod and I still suck at giving my community what they want so ROFL.
