What are some of the nicknames that the Arashi members give each other?
I've only ever noticed Aiba call Sho "Sho-chan" (though it's highly possible that I've just never seen clips where the other members address Sho with the -chan suffix) and I was wondering if the others had "special names" for each other. I know that Nino calls Ohno "Oh-chan" but do the other members do so as well? And etc..... :)

Additionally, what are some popular nicknames fans have for the members? Especially the Chinese fans, I suppose, since the Chinese forums confuse the heck out of me because they have too many nicknames and no running list of who's who for the new fans.

I've heard Aiba being called Aiba-chan by everyone. Sometimes Nino will call Ohno Jiichan. Ohno can also be called Samii sometimes. Other than that it's just the usual ones like MatsuJun and Nino. I don't remember hearing any others but I'm sure there are lots.

"ドS番長" which is doSbancho

it means "super sadist leader" along those lines. :x bancho is what you call the "head student" of a class. in any case there was a recent g no arashi (before they started air guitar) and jun was like "what's the nick name you guys call me!" and then they were all like "ドS番長!" and jun is like "NOT THAT ONE! THE OTHER ONE!" ahaha ... it was cute. i forget what the other nickname was ... something along the lines of jun hating to lose or loving all sports or something. :x

i think with each other its just aiba, nino, ohno/captain/leader/sami, matsujun and sho.

i started to call matsujun "matjun" because theres this one actress that went to school w/ him when they were younger and she called him that, and i thought it was cute :x forget who.

in korea the fans call arashi "ram" (not pronounced like the english word) "ram kuns!" thats what they call them. ahaha bc "arashi" read in korean is "ram" :x and a lot of them call ohchan "sugar" its cute. ^^*

but still my favorite is ドS番長 :D doSbancho!!!

what was the date of the show? ahaha ... ドS番長 is defnitely a sadist. the 19th episode of GnoArashi was funny. that part where matjun is like aldkfjalsdjf at that one performer w/ the comedy entourage. matjun is lke "why are you coming out to front! YOU'RE COVERING ME!"

A lot of Japanese fans call Nino "Ninomi" but generally they just call each other by the shorter of either their first or last name plus a -chan/-kun when appropriate. Usually, the rest of the members call Ohno "Leader" because, well, he's the leader.

I have no idea what crazy names Chinese fans come up but I'm sure they're ridiculous and totally not necessary. All I know is that supposedly some people call Nino "Kachang" or something and that just made me wtf.

Aiba: Aiba-chan or just Aiba
Ohno: Uh.. Ohno. XD;;
Ninomiya: Nino. (I am such a genious with nicknames.
Masumoto: MatsuJun (I'm so uncreative!) But I've been calling him Skeevy McSkeevester lately. The boy is getting shady! (But I'll love him as long as hee keeps PWNing Akanishi on Utawara XD)
Sakurai: I acually usually call him Sakurai-kun since he's a smarty pants Keio graduate with a rich daddy. LOL I dream of being able to call him Sho-kun Hahaha. I'm neurotic.

I like to call the boys a variety of things. lol. :
Masaki - Ma-chan, Aiba, Fumi, Masaki-kun (& when I'm feeling hyper I call him Maba ^^;;)
Satoshi - Oh-chan, Leader, Ohno, Sato-chan, Sami!! haha.
Kazunari - Nino, Kazunari
Sho - Sho-kun, bambi
Jun - I tend to mainly just call him Jun >_< ... MatsuJun, Jun-kun, Matsumoto-san.(& when I'm feeling hyper I sometimes even call him Mr Jun-kun...lol)

I first found it really strange that the japanese use a lot of nicknames...but I love the idea. lol ~ We're so boring here in england. ¬_¬

hmm people seem to have covered most of the nicknames but i know ive seen Junjun for MatsuJun sometimes...i cant believe people have left out one of my personal fav nicknames though! Maybe its just me, but I love the nickname "neener" for nino. I know ive seen it before but i could be crazy ^.~

I know that sometimes Aiba is refered to as Ma-chan and in an article Jun said Sho gave him the nickname Tsumoyun (to change from the usual MatsuJun) the rest is pretty much all said by osakana ^^

The guys were out for dinner with a higher-up from the Jimusho, and when Ohno coughed, the person said something like
[Are you alright? You gotta take care of yourself during this time] (this was around January-ish).
And when Ohno replied [Hai!], the person then said
[You look like a SAMI(sah-mee)! Not Sam, but a SAMI! A bit of a weak SAMI!]

Ohno demanded to be called captain now (said Sho in Sho Beat)..lol...because he said there were too many lidaas now...so he thought captain sounded cool. I think the first person to really call him captain was Nino. ^^

I've always wanted to know where "super idol" stemmed from. Did it come from his role in PPOI? Or just how he tends to carry himself? o__o
