I vividly remember ordering a Limited Edition album from them but apparently I received the Regular Edition? It's just that when I check their website now, the LE is not in their list anymore. I am not quite sure what my next steps are and how to detect the glitch here.

I'm just deeply bothered and extremely sad.

I didn't preorder through them...
but I feel sad after reading what you have posted...

did they emailed you a online invoice when you first preordered through them?
Like yesasia or cdjapan, they will email you the invoice stating the item full name.
How much did you pay for it?

Perhaps.. you can like email their customer service department?

Well, they actually sent the invoice/email but I did not check on the product itself since it was stated upfront that the purchase had been successful. And I was pretty confident that I will receive it the way I expected it to be. Apparently, I was very excited when I received my pack but was blown away when I saw the album.

I think my next steps would definitely send a notification to them. But I was just bothered that the LE is not on their list, which makes my claim very weak. Another thing that I would like to know is if there's somebody out there that ordered LE from them. Then with that I feel assured that they really have LE in their repertoire of products. Ü

You can wait for the other fans who had preordered through them to reply you here. I am sure they will be as shocked and worried as you are now!

Just send a notification to them, I believe they will have their own list of past products which they took orders for even if now their website list doesn't show.

Well, I just find it weird that LE is not on their list. That's why I am not really positive about my claims. In the email that they sent, I just checked on the link but it keeps on reverting back to the RE page.

I really want my Limited Edition. Waaaaah. *cries*

I ordered mine from HMV Jp and just arrived today. I read your 'conversation' with riku_tsuyoi above and my advice is the same. Re-check your email confirmation from them, or your order history on the hmv website. If both stating your order was the LE one, then you should contact them within a week.

If they didn't have the LE anymore then at least you will pay the RE price and not the LE price for the RE CD.

I think you definitely need to contact them asap. In the invoice, does it state that you purchased the LE? It wouldn't be right that they charge you the price of the LE if they sent you the RE.

thank you for making this post. it's my first time ordering from HMV, and I wanted to be assured of their services.

I was able to order the limited edition yesterday, and going back to the site, I can see that the product status is now unavailable. I double checked to see that what I did order was the right catalogue. What I don't want to happen is receiving anything other than the limited edition. :(

i ordered mine from HMV Japan and i got it yesterday - they do have the Limited Ed, so i was also wondering why this happened. :(

I order from HMV Japan all the time and never had this problem. You can check your order by loggin into your account on the HMV site, then click on ORDERS HISTORY under MY ORDER, and click on "see detail" next to your transaction. This should tell you the title, price and which version of the CD you bought as well as the link to that CD. I should be getting the LE from HMV tomorrow. Will let you know if it turns out otherwise. But HMV has pretty good service, you should contact them if you feel a mistake has been made. Hope that helps.

Sorry for the late update. It seems like this is "my-word-against-their-word" circumstance and apparently, I do not have evidence to support my claims. So my so-called misplaced order cannot be rectified. I understand where they are coming from. Maybe it's really a mistake on my part. Ü
