2 Questions!

Hi

I have 2 questions. Hope those who know can share! 

-Nino & his Tote bag.
Nino seems to somehow or another carry tote bags more often than the other 4.
But he seems to be very angry when people tease him & his tote bag.
Is it disgraceful to carry tote bags in japan? 
(Sorry if this question was asked before!)

-Ohno's knee
I seen in fancams and read from other fans blog that Ohno 
wears knee guts during concerts. And sometime he seem to 
be very concern of his knee. Does he have any knee injuries before?
Haha, because seeing him dancing for so long. Im afraid he has injuries =(
I know it's common to wear knee guts for concert but just want to know more....

Do let me know if i tag this wrongly and please dont get the wrong idea of anything.
Im just asking this simply because im a curious fan. No offence to anything or anyone!

i also noticed that that oh-chan was wearing a knee-cap when they were singing A.RA.SHI with those see-through...does he has a problem with his knees?or just for precaution? :D

Very observant. :)

I can only speculate about the bit on the knee support. It is basically to support the joints around the knee. He did mention that because of his age [WHAT AGE?], he is unable to dance as before. Knee problems do come with age and more importantly wear+tear after vigorous activities. It can also be used as prevention of serious injury.

I still need knee support for my old injuries. :(

'knee cap'....do you mean a knee brace?
Since he is the 'dancer' of Arashi, it's not really surprising that he might have knee problems.
I used to dance (including jazz/hip hop), and a lot of the moves do really put strain on your joints, even if you do all the proper warm up exercises.

Hmm, i don't know if you're referring to what i think you referring to, but there are certain dance steps tht may hurt your knees so in order to protect it, dancers wear knee guards.(; However, I have a friend who wears a knee guard because she already has knee poblems and has to wear it while she does vigorous exercise. So there, 2 options for you to choose from ^^

I think Ohno's knee brace is more a precaution to prevent him damaging it. That would cause a lot of problems if he was out of action for any length of time and dancers often have knee and joint problems. It's good to see him looking after himself.

I don't think tote bags are disrespectful at all, but they tease him as I guess it would be kind of a 'manbag' kinda thing maybe? heh but I don't think Nino gets genuinely angered by it, they all do it in good fun. And after all, Nino needs somewhere to keep his DS and games, ne? Haha

Tote bags aren't a big deal in Japan. Men carry purses in Tokyo without an eyebrow raised- so I assume he is just joking!

As far as the knee brace/guard, he could just be wearing it for protection, due to the fact that he is getting older and has danced for so many years.

I'm glad he's taking care of himself. He really seems to be getting younger, but we can't forget he's almost 30! And as a dancer (The Best! <3), he probably felt some pain before.
But I did notice... he's getting stronger. Stronger arms, stronger legs... <3

About Oh-chan,I'm not so sure but there's this article when he talked about his previous experiences in arashi (either in potato, popolo or wink up ...><).
Then he said that there's one time when he went to the filming location and somehow the technician there avoided to look at him. After filming, the technician approached him and asked did he go to anywhere with lots of ningyo (Japanese dolls) before and he said he did (i think it's in USo Japan when he and Nino went to sleep at some temple where there's rumour about some eerie things happened with the ningyo).
The technician then told him he avoided to look at Ohchan coz he saw ningyo standing behind and holding Ohchan's knees. He also asked if Ohchan's knees are often in pain... and Oh-chan said his knees often hurt also @_@
... so maybe his knees have some problems ><

The man who asked Oh-chan about his knee was a famous "fortune teller" in Japan and they were both in a van and the fortune teller said that he could see that some kind of spirit was grabbing onto Oh-chan's knee. But then he supposedly "removed" it, so Oh-chan should not be affected by the spirit. Does that sound like the same incident?

I'm only 24, but I danced for 19 years. And because I put so much stress on my joints while I was still growing, my knees still tend to pop and crack often, even though I haven't danced in a while. So it's no surprise to me that Ohno would need knee braces.

I agree with the other comments that Oh-chan may be wearing it for precautionary measures but that ningyo story was really... *shiver*
That story was creepy. Doesn't Ohno have something like a ghost magnet? D:

Oh well. I've also seen him hugging his knee when he sits down. :D I mean, he interlaces his fingers over his knee and pulls, and it looks so adorable. ♥ I don't know if that counts as proof for the knee thing because the other members sometimes do it as well. :D I didn't know he wore a knee brace because I don't watch concerts often. I'm really for that precautionary measure theory, but if that ningyo story said that his knees hurt a lot, then I'm not very sure.

yeah..i aggre with you somehow...ningyo story was creepy and scary i think ^^ but it doesnt mean i'm not believe on ghost appearing but...no comment. Its hard to say huh...just people who have experienced on them can comment about it..just my opinion* maybe someone or reporter (maybe) can ask him for his comment lol

no wonder we never noticed he wear knee brace inside his long pant..usually. im not suprise when notice he wore knee brace..since he's a dancer and active on stage. like an athlete or anyone love outdoor activity like walking, jogging etc...usually wear that too to avoid any injury and feel more comfortable to move around, as they have to move a lot

I'm a runner- 26yo- and if I don't wear a knee brace on my right knee after a week I'm in a bunch of pain and have to take a break. However if I wear it, I'm fine and not a bit of pain ever. I think that's what Ohno-kun's doing. Just preventing. LOL sometimes in your late 20's you feel like 60 :(

Yeah Ohno has been wearing his knee brace for quite some time now. I first noticed it in one of their TIME concerts when he was punished for losing janken for the fight song and Jun pulled down his pants. Saw some of his mother's selected undies and of course the knee brace.

Not surprised by Ohno's knee brace, I've seen him sporting in since the TIME concert too.

Like many have said, He's been dancing and active in stage plays since 16 so a little wear and tear were mostly likely to happen. It also could be the result of an old injury. I twisted my ankle about two years ago, it still acts up now. I excercise regularly 24 yr old, and have to wear an ankle brace sometimes because it acts up when I do vigorous activities or even walking for a long period of time.

And Nino's man purse... it's like a second natural to associate these things with Nino nowadays XD I mean, he's not as high maintenance as Jun, but he's special like that in another way XD

Well, Nino doesn't like teasing in general, right? He doesn't get teased often, and when he is, he often gets whiny. So I guess the tote bag is just one example for it. Besides, he has some kind of white purse, too, I remember seeing it in the Fight in Kokuritsu vid (when he's recording Re(mark)able) and also in the Arashi is Alive! Photobook. (I remembered it because he had a button saying 'I <3 Game' on it. XD)

About the knee issue, knees are generally week spots, aren't they? I get the feeling that they're always the first place sportlers have problems with. Ohno is probably the same. To quote a sports teacher from my school: "Back and knee are poorly constructed, they break down all the time." (To which a student replied "After all, God said 'Be fruitful and multiply' and not 'Play ball'." >__<)
