Good evening all (for someone morning)
I wanted to ask about tickets. I am not looking for one for now, I'm just interested.
I think to fly to Japan in January (It is not sure yet). If everything goes well and I'll get, I'd like to get to the Arashi concert (especially on my BirthDay - 17.01 ).

Question:
If I start to look for tickets somewhere in December .. if there be a chance to buy them or it's be too late?
And ideally, I'd like to buy tickets for already known places. Don't wonna to sit very far away >_<

I will be grateful for your advice and suggestions. ^o^

Thanks.

The later it is, the more expensive it'll be to buy from the shops that sell those tickets. Be ready to pay at least $1,000 for one. Good luck, though! Arashi concerts are super fun.

So, as already known, you have to be in the fan club to get the tickets. And then, when people decide that they can't go, then they sell them off to stores that sell Johnny's concert tickets. Arashi tickets are way more expensive than others because of how popular they are and how rare the tickets are-people usually don't give up their tickets. And since they are in high demand, people are willing to buy them for $3000 a ticket. Prior to this concert, you could have found some online, but then the company cracked them down and canceled those tickets and rebid them to others in the fan club. Unless, you're in Japan in advance I'm afraid getting tickets is going to be almost impossible since there wont be any on the internet.

It's illegal to technically resell Johnny's tickets. Obviously, there isn't anyway for the company to crack down on people selling it to the shops who sell Johnny's tickets, but they can if it's over the internet. They canceled the tickets that were sold over the internet for the Kokuritsu Stadium that were found on the internet and resold it other fans with their name on it. The company even said that they were going to do ID checks which is impossible because of the amount of people and how long it will take, so they didn't actually do it, but the people who got their tickets canceled didn't get in and the ones that were rebid got in. Don't be upset! If you come to Japan, go to Harajuku and try to find tickets. They're really expensive, so earlier bought the better. As the day to the concert gets closer, the price goes higher. It's kind of ridiculous. If you buy from the fan club, their usually about $65 for Dome, but the ones sold on the streets I've seen go up to about $1000-$3000 depending on the seat. Good Luck!

$65 to $1000 - $3000 range is a huge gap! So let's say I want to watch one later next year meaning not their 10th anniversary concert tour, what's the best way to score a legit ticket?

Sorry for barging in...

Well, maybe joining the fanclub or finding someone else who will ballot for you EARLY? Once the tour is announced, it's nearly impossible to find other fans with spare tickets because all the foreign fans are searching for such people. I guess Vitamin B is everything here if you can't join the fanclub yourself.

I don't know anyone who can ballot for me, unless someone does that here or in other arashi lj communities. What do I need to do to get into the fanclub?

1. have a friend who is in the fan club ballot for you (although, I don't think this is the best solution as of right now, because once the tour gets announced the TONS AND TONS of ballots go in, so I'm pretty sure there are way more than enough for the Domes already)
2. Go to Harajuku and buy tickets
3. (I don't know if this works, but..) wait outside of the stadium with a sign that says you want tickets.

Good Luck!!

Do you know what their average lead time is between announcement date and date of kickoff concert? Seems a quick pre-concert trip to Tokyo is the way to go then...

Option 3 seems to painful... so near yet so far, lol.

Option 3 is painful. And there are tons of girls who do it which shows you that it's nearly impossible to get tickets even if you're in the fan club because most of the girls there are girls who didn't get chosen from the ballot. Anyways! They usually announce a few months prior, like at least 3 months prior. They usually do summer tours that usually starts at around mid-July.

Another guarantee concert to go to is the Johnny's countdown concert. I've never been because I'm not a big fan of other JE groups, but Arashi will be there and it is at the dome, so it's a fairly intimate venue.

Rats... I had no idea it was still tough going after getting into the fanclub. But summer tour and/or Johnny's countdown. Got it, thanks!

I've already resigned myself that their 10th anniversary tour is absolutely impossible for me, so another tour set then. Are you planning the same?

As of right now both reasons, actually. Well, according to meeohchan they usually have a summer tour starting mid-July. Best of luck to us!

there has been a lot of issues with Arashi concert tickets this year. For Kokuritsu, for example, those who posted pix of their tix online or specific seat numbers were black listed. I actually saw someone get escorted out from their seat at the con.

if you arent in the fan club, you could get tix through ticket pia or other call-in companies johnnys works with, but you have to call from Japan, and EVERYONE who isnt in the FC, but wants to go, will be fighting for them. Trying to call these numbers from skype or your phone abroad will not connect you (trust me, i have tried).

I would troll these communities (although everyone is doing that) and pray that you are the first one to read the post.

Good Luck!

the tickets are 500 yen more than FC tickets, and they sometimes charge you per 20 seconds for calling... but the prices arent going to be outrageous like they are on auction or at a shop in harajuku.

Like I mentioned before, the only catch is that you must call from within Japan.

this year's tickets are 7,000yen for FC members, and 7,500 yen for non-FC member call ins.

these tickets are NOT available through the websites.

Only through calling in.

Someone was escorted from their seat?? Wow...
I did see some staff with lists, checking seat numbers so I think it's definitely possible but still...poor fan.

hey don't be down. Israeli fans exist, we're just well hidden and unorganized. There are arashi fans in Tel aviv university. I go to bar ilan and I've converted some of my friends to fandom. There is also an organization for people who love Japanese culture and they do events, which is another great way to meet other friends but I forget what they are called. If you search in hebrew you should fins them though. Ganbatte!

That all the concert venues are already sold out, so the only way you would be able to get a ticket is through a scalper or reseller.

Also, the January 17th show is the LAST SHOW on the anniversary tour, so I would say that the tickets would be more expensive than for the other venues.

People said that about the Kokuritsu tickets, but I read somewhere that they released tickets to the general public.

Ballot results for the domes aren't even out yet...

The public sale of tickets for this tour has already ended, too. That's why I originally said all the venues are sold out. I meant that all the FC and public tickets have been sold already, so the only way to get tickets now is "illegally" (by Uncle Johnny's definition).

Yes, ballot results for some of the Dome locations are not out yet (still waiting on the last three) but the deadline has already passed.

hey following this discussion, how do you join a FC then? And the only way of getting ticket through the FC is by balloting right?

Date: 2009-09-03 02:22 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] meeohchan.livejournal.com
There are directions and different ways you can join the FC on the johnnys-net.jp, it's all in Japanese though. You need a Japanese address to join the FC. It can be your friends or anyone you know in Japan, just don't let them know that. Hope that helped!

woah, this is exactly what i was planning on doing too... jan would be the only con i could make this yr, and who knows when the next tour will be (or if i'll be able to go). i'm from the states, so getting the ticket is what i'm most worried about... even if you joined the FC now, would you be able to bid for the jan concert, or is it too late? b/c i've heard that it takes about a month just for them to register you... if anyone knows/wants to work together that would be awesome!!!

Ah... yeah, it seems that way (i've been checking some jpns sites in the meantime)... ^^ as for exchange of info, you should read this post i found a while ago, when i decided i was going to go to the next con no matter what, haha. http://community.livejournal.com/a_ra_shi/775345.html?style=mine
(i hope that link works...)
if we're both successful getting tickets (and if you go on the 16th, b/c that's when i wanna go) we should meet up, lol
