Date: 2009-09-05 07:17 am (UTC)There are about 6 floors of shops selling Japanese books, magazines, manga DVDs, CDs and toys. It is best to pay with cash, as most shops will impose a fees for credit card payments.
If you look hard enough, you might still find some older LE versions that are out of stock elsewhere.
Happy Shopping!

Date: 2009-09-05 02:41 pm (UTC)I was going to suggest that same store - J-Friends!
They sell the concert goods there. But the prices are jacked up. >_>"
If nobody has given you directions to Sino Centre yet, it's located right beside the J-Friends building!
The basement level of Sino Centre is where you'd find most of the stuff - they have CDs (some stores are REALLY cheap, and the CDs are brand new!), posters, JE magazines and photobooks, and also several anime stores if you're interested.

Date: 2009-09-05 12:57 pm (UTC)My friend once bought me a photo of sho-chan at this place called 'apple-mall' which is located in Tin Hau. You can get there by MTR, and its only 1 -2 minute walk from it. BUT BECAREFUL! I went there at 11ish before and it was STILL CLOSED. seems like the shop opens at random time and date...
Hope it helps!
(i bought arashi - dream a live first edition from Japan for 350 hk dollar at hk HMV)

Date: 2009-09-05 05:39 pm (UTC)think it was exit E2, do a U turn to the right and follow the road down, maybe 10 min...
Take the ecalator down to the basement and u can find magazines, cd's and dvd's..
I even found Arashi's first concert on VCD in one of the stores!!! SUGOI I have to say.
Also regarding the magazines, walk around because some are cheaper.
They have both JP version and HK versions.. not on everything but some.
Otherwise CD Warehouse in Causeway bay in Times square shopping all.
Or HMV.. but HMV is more expensive.. but all things are official stuff.

Date: 2010-09-20 10:58 am (UTC)I'm also about to go to Hong Kong in 2 weeks, so I wanted to get an idea of where I might be able to go also to get arashi/other japanese stuff; particularly magazines
Did you manage to get any things while you were there?
I see quite a lot of replies mentioning Sino Centre,
do the people at the shops there speak english?
and are the prices reasonable?

Date: 2011-05-25 03:24 am (UTC)they don't really speak english at sino centre so if you have a friend that's a native cantonese speaker, that'll be your best bet of getting deals :)
