[identity profile] acidae.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] arashi_on
This is completely unrelated to the Webgains spamming issue, but I started up a new community in response to the growing number of posts looking for stores all over the world that sells Johnny's goods:

[livejournal.com profile] johnnys_outlet[livejournal.com profile] johnnys_outlet[livejournal.com profile] johnnys_outlet

It should be noted that this is not a request community; it instead works on a form submission basis, where any fan who knows of a store that sells Johnny's merchandise in or near the area they live in can contribute and hopefully help other fans out. If you have the time to spare, please drop by the community and fill out a form or two!

Do you mind if I make a plug for this in [livejournal.com profile] news_jpop as well?

great idea!

Thanks for always thinking about how to improve the fandom "facilities" and contribute your translations too D:

just a suggestion though, I believe there could be a better way of organising the info because... don't you find it too wordy? ^^; perhaps more headings vs paragraphs? *shrugs*

ah don't get me wrong, details are great and preferred but I guess if you're intending to let people choose what they prefer to include and length and such then your method is fine..

What I had in mind was something like encouraging (note NOT making this a requirement) headings and point form?

Eg(no offense to this user I merely took what was the first entry I saw)
First, be warned that ALL items sold at the Book Off are USED. Their conditions vary with the price. They do NOT receive brand new items and cannot order new items for you. They do not do pre-orders or special orders of any kind. Their stock ranges on what type of item is sold back to them. On a rare occasion, you may sometimes find LE CDs and DVDs. (I bought Arashi's Iza Now LE CD with DVD selling there for $5!)

The Book Off section in Shirokiya a wide variety of JE CDs, DVDs, magazines, and on a rare occasion, calendars, posters, etc. On certain occasions, there would be a flood of CDs and DVDs. All items sold are at knock off prices. CDs can range from about $5-25. (Please don't quote me on this since their prices vary.) The Book Off section also sells Japanese books, manga, movies, etc.

vs

stuff to note
- ALL items sold at the Book Off are USED
- varying price depending on condition
- They do NOT receive brand new items and cannot order new items for you

Book Off section, continued

etc. etc.

it's just my "urge to organise and concise" that made me suggest that. Sorry for raising what looks to you like a bad opinion. I understand that it'll be taking more more time of our helpful contributors and might not be appreciated by other users (because the post would be longer that way). Plus, other users might prefer reading descriptions to glancing through facts and info.. Just wanted to put my two cents worth.
