Hi

As from the latest episode of AnS, is it true that arashi is going to do
an experiment of watching their concert using 3D glasses?

And the glasses can be made by ourselves
or can be purchased from the magazine.

-Does anyone know the materials to make the 3D glasses?
(Sorry, bad japanese so unable to understand well)

-And, watching from the computer would be the same as watching from the
television? (Because for overseas fans, we would download AnS.)

Hope someone can share more about it!
Because, Im lost =)

Sorry if my question has been asked before.

Thank you!

you just need blue and red cellophane wrap.

also, you should be able to watch it on your computer and get the same effect.... the picture will be like any other 3D show, i'm assuming.

This has never been done, so I am not sure if it will work... I'm just guessing ne!

you can check the instructions here: http://www.ntv.co.jp/arashi-w/3dmegane/index.html

it's in japanese. though i think the pictures would be helpful in understanding how it's done even if you don't understand what's written XD

i'm really excited for this experiment! i hope it would work! ^_^ i want to see arashi 'leap' out from the screen! LOL!

If you can't find blue and red cellophane wrap (I've never seen anything like that in stores where I live) you can always just buy a pair of 3D glasses. They're really cheap and you can probably find them at a toy store or a dollar/100yen store (or, of course, whatever the currency equivalent is where you live). I imagine it's probably cheaper to just buy a pair than it is to make them, since you'd have to buy an entire roll of red cellophane, an entire roll of blue cellophane, and then some thick paper to attach them to just to make them.

You may want to use acetate sheets- it's more durable, comes in sheets (instead of rolls) and probably doesn't wrinkle as easily at cellophane.
But there are a few places online that are selling 3D glasses for only $1, you just have to find one that you think is safe.

Yes, it will work the same way on your computer screen as your TV screen. I just tested my own 3D glasses on a 3D picture I found on the internet and it worked fine.

I think it's going to be a hit and miss kinda thing - cos my friend previously worked with 3d anaglyphs in her school assignment and when we were testing it out, the home-made glasses work fine on still images, but the moving images not so much... so it might be difficult to watch the AnS in total 3d.

But, if you can find the plastic 3d anaglyph glasses like the ones they have at 3d theatre screenings, I'm sure you'll have a muchhhh better chance cos those are proper (and as hontowa said, they're probably cheaper to buy than to make, lol if you can find them!).

But anyways, here's a tutorial in making homemade 3d anaglyph glasses if you want to try:

http://www.haworth-village.org.uk/3d/3d-glasses.asp

It's quite simple to make. But make sure when you make it the RED part goes on the LEFT EYE, and the CYAN/BLUE goes on the RIGHT EYE. Plus I think the blue cellophane is better if it's more towards cyan cos I think the green in the blue helps... and once you test it out and it's not so strong, just add another layer of cellophane and it should make the vision stronger.

Lmao everything seems to be turning 3D lately!!! oTL sigh although it's kinda cool it feels so strange...

Ohhh, looking at taiwanf4sale's reply with the website instructions, I guess the homemade ones will probably work, huh! Gosh yay we can just make them then! ^_^
