Question: Bonus materials on 5×10 All the BEST! CLIPS 1999-2009 DVD?

I'm planning on buying the 5×10 All the BEST! CLIPS 1999-2009 DVD and I was wondering if the DVD will come with any bonus materials or will it just contain Arashi's PVs?

I tried to read the DVD's description and my Japanese is failing me, I couldn't figure it out. I'm particularly confused on the bolded part. Please help.

And it seems like Arashi and Exile are going head to head in the coming months. Exile's new Live DVD is also coming out on 10/28 and both are releasing new singles on 11/11 as well. Not sure how Arashi's DVD will do against Exile's but the outcomes will be interesting I think.

I think the bolded part says that in between the pv clips, there is new footage included.
Read somewhere that the total running time of the DVD is 236 min and if you do the math, that's way longer than the running time of all their PVs put together so definitely, there's something extra!

Arashi will be facing competition from GReeeeN too. They're releasing a best album on 25th Nov and seeing their lastest album is currently in 3rd place, there's a chance they might overtake Arashi.

that sucks! but hopefully, since the ranking stops counting in the first or second week of december, their sales wont surpass arashi for this year... *crosses fingers*

Exile is releasing an album on 12/02 as well. Although that's kinda close to the end of the Oricon year.

EXILE seems to love releasing albums near the end of the Oricon year huh. Hmm I looked at Wikipedia and their best album EXILE Ballad sold 943,901 just in the first week!

You're right about EXILE. I was floored when their EXILE Ballad album was released. As for GReeeeN, it is after all a best album so it could possibly sell more than their usual album sales like Arashi did this time too. Whatever it is, things are going to be interesting but fingers crossed for Arashi. :)

I'm hoping Arashi will be able to get the top DVD, album and single for this Oricon year too. EXILE and maybe GReeeeN will probably outsell Arashi later on but at least for this year, let Arashi top the charts.

I think sales will be a little higher with YesAsia counting towards the charts as they've become one of the top few sites people buy online from.

Btw any idea when is the end of the Oricon year? 2nd week of December?

Interesting discussion you guys have going on here. I think it could go either ways:

1. GreeeeN and/or Exile will beat Arashi's sales by year end since GreeeeN always have amazing albums' sales and this being a best album, the sales will be even greater. Exile's last 3 albums had massive sales, and even though those were best albums, I think their regular album will sell just as well. Both GreeeeN and Exile have a lot of casual fans who will probably pick up the albums. Or-

2. GreeeeN and/or Exile might not outsell Arashi. GreeeeN just released a regular album 4 months ago, so for them to release a best album now is a bit premature I think. And I think Exile's popularity is not as strong as before, after they became a 14 members group. It seems like a few of their fans turned on them because they dislike the new 14 members format. And like previously mentioned, the time factor of Oricon's cut off date might not be in their favors.

It would be nice to see Arashi taking #1 on the album chart, but even if they don't we should happy that they broke the million mark for the first time in their careers. But for sure, 2009 year end is going to be very interesting to see who comes out on top.

Mm, I could be incorrect, but it seems to be saying that for the purpose of this clip collection DVD, there will be newly recorded clips to look forward to, and then it goes on to say that as far as bonus footage goes, it's the eleven minute PV for Believe.

i think i read somewhere that there was either going to be an introduction before each PV or a short making of for each PV would be included... but i cant remember where i read it, so i dont know if it is true or not

itz basically all their pvs..along with lucky man pv n the 11 mins animation of believe..

so the only rly bonus is the believe animation..ive already ordered my copy of it

the groups r constantly releasing new things..so itz inevitable with the competition..greeeen does sell rly well n shio kosho is currently 3rd at like i duno 980,000 ish copies whereas arashi is at 1.3 mil copies?..n shio kosho waz released in early june..til now arashi overtook their sales..n the a-b dest album being released at the end of nov is going to sell well but unlikely to overtake arashi's current 1.3 mil copies..i mean..they still have to beat mr children's supermarket fantasy which is at like 1.2 mil

same goes with exile..itz a bunch of top groups going head to head with releases..based on experiences this year..being arashi's 10th i think the fans would support the boys in every way to kinda ensure they get to the top..thats how itz been all year with their releases

in the end..i dont rly care who sells more..since i love all the groups..regardless of who sells more..im just happy arashi is selling so well n is being compared to top artists

I'm wondering if Greeeen even has alot of international fans? Cause I was just thinking how hard it is to find mp3s of their songs online, and if you find one, they're usually in Japanese so I was wondering if they are just really popular in Japan? Cause you know, Japanese people probably wont buy their CDs through CD Japan or Yes asia?

i am rooting for Arashi, but if anyone actually beats them on the charts, can you imagine the bragging rights they would have? i mean, Arashi is like this huge powerhouse right now and seem unstoppable, so can you imagine if exile or greeeen actually were able to beat their records and overtook any of the top slots on the charts from Arashi? it is going to be amazing to see what happens from now until december... O_O

Uhm, guys... I am kinda confused whether to buy the 5x10 all the best CLIPS or not because it only has one version (Japan version) and it's DVD region 2 (and I don't have a player for that...)

Is there any other option?

Because I don't feel that secured with YesAsia's info...
Last time, I ordered a Koike Teppei cd w/ a bonus DVD and it said that the dvd was region 2 but it played on my laptop (w/c is region 1) and it said at the back of the DVD, region ALL... but I checked a lot of times and it said that I ordered the JAPAN version!
So I'm not too sure whether to take the risk and buy it and possibly not get to watch it (our players are only region 1 and 3) or not buy it at all...

I have a Sony Vaio laptop (bought in the US) and region 2 DVDs play fine on it.

Another method is if you download VLC media player to your computer/laptop, it will be able to play DVD with any region.

it should be available on both. i ordered it on yesasia and last i checked, they still had it. i dont know about cdjapan bc i dont order through them, but i assume it is still available, since there isnt a LE or anything
