Poll: The Ticket Game
Nov. 9th, 2009 11:11 pmAs a n00b to the Arashi concert experience, I thought I'd ask for some feedback from the people who have done this before. [Poll #1482903][Poll #1482903]
Since this is my first time in (Tokyo) Japan during concert season, I'd very much like to go to one of the Dome concerts if at all possible. I also don't mind paying a bit more (since it'll probably be inevitable). Any input at all will be showered with hearts! ♥

Date: 2009-11-09 02:33 pm (UTC)I may be able to help you get tix...

Date: 2009-11-09 02:41 pm (UTC)I'm aiming for one of the three Tokyo Dome dates.
In your experience, what is a reasonable amount to expect? I actually don't know since I've been browsing Yahoo auctions for the past few days and all the dome days go from 30,000 to 150,000yen 0___0

Date: 2009-11-10 07:37 am (UTC)I know how hard it is to get tix!
Um... for Arashi tix, the average price seems to be 50,000yen... that's why I am asking what your MAX is... so it gives me a budget to work with when I am looking and asking around.

Date: 2009-11-11 09:34 am (UTC)I was thinking around 30,000yen, but that is probably too much to hope for when it comes to Dome concerts ^^;;
But thanks anyway for your offer! Very, very much appreciated, believe me~

Date: 2009-11-09 03:22 pm (UTC)Which I guess is considered centralized for Tokyo =)
Are you in Tokyo too?

Date: 2009-11-09 04:36 pm (UTC)Good friends are hard to find, I agree, especially in a new place. I'm still working at it myself ^__^

Date: 2009-11-09 03:07 pm (UTC)I wonder if the idol shop tickets will be more affordable? Or at least, will they be safer?

Date: 2009-11-09 05:14 pm (UTC)*Safer* also means that your ticket's serial number wouldn't be deemed void? I've heard of stories where people sell it online, and because their seats are displayed, those specific tickets can be made void.
And do you know how much more expensive they are in the idol shops?
no subject
Date: 2009-11-10 08:30 am (UTC)Plus, now that everyone knows about the voiding of tix, they are being smarter when they sell them on communities and auctions.

Date: 2009-11-10 03:44 pm (UTC)Since they know about the voiding of tickets, why do sellers still put the seat number on ticket.co.jp? I suppose buying from je_sales is safer?

Date: 2009-11-09 03:39 pm (UTC)I'm in the fanclub, but I lost the ballots so I've been getting tickets off of online sites, mainly ticket.co.jp. I have to say it's very safe, as I've used it several times, and the people are very fast sending the tickets and everything. And yes, the prices are expensive. The prices at idol shops are way more expensive that what you can find on ticket.co.jp. However, I usually get them before the seats are out on ticket.co.jp because they're A LOT cheaper. That means taking a chance because you won't know where you're sitting, but I actually got really lucky and got arena seats for Kokuritsu.
The only downside is that Tokyo Dome seats are already out, so they're super high, even stands are going for crazy prices. The best chance of getting a cheaper price and maybe getting an arena seat is to try for Nagoya. If your heart is set on Tokyo, then I would check out Yahoo Auctions because sometimes prices are lower (but it being Tokyo that might be kind of hard because it's one of the main domes). However, the thing with Yahoo Auctions is that you have to have a special membership to be able to bid over 5,000yen. And with this, I think you have to pay a monthly fee and have a Japanese credit card. Either that or my credit card doesn't work haha.
But anyway, I hope this answers some of your questions. ^_^

Date: 2009-11-09 04:11 pm (UTC)I'm undecided as to whether to buy it right off or try my hand at bidding right now. You're right about the crazy prices. It seems like everyone and their grandma is trying for Tokyo Dome XD I probably can't afford anything over 30,000yen which puts me out of the game already T_T
I don't mind Nagoya, but on ticket.co.jp even those prices are sky-high! The only reasonable ones I see are for Sapporo Dome coming up this weekend XD
Buying tickets before seat numbers are out is a good strategy! I guess I'm a bit late for that, though. And there's also the fact that there's some tricky re-balloting going on that I might have a slim chance of getting.... Did you participate?

Date: 2009-11-09 04:42 pm (UTC)But yeah, it's going to be hard to find Tokyo Dome tickets for under 30,000 yen. You might want to keep an eye out on ticket.co.jp until maybe the last week before the concert. It'll be cutting it kind of close, but sometimes the prices drop because people are trying to sell their tickets at the last minute. You might be able to get some stand seats.
And Nagoya is going to be inevitably high because it's the last stop on the tour. I've been watching tickets for every dome, starting from Fukuoka and Nagoya started off with the highest prices, even without knowing the seats. And yes! Sapporo is very reasonable, but it's because you figure the cost of airfare and everything adds up. I'm actually going this weekend and got good seats, but airfare and hotel definitely was kind of expensive.
Yeah I tried at the re-balloting for Hokkaido. But I wasn't sure when they were going to notify us, so I made my arrangements just to be safe. But then again, I was going crazy not knowing if I would hit or not, and figuring my chances would be pretty slim I ended up getting the tickets online anyway. And I figured since i tried re-balloting for Hokkaido that meant I couldn't re-ballot for Tokyo. But maybe you can hit!
I hope this helps, this is really the only method I've ever used. I've browsed at idol shops but to me it seems like they're much higher than what you can find online. And there's always the "stand outside of the dome with a sign" method, but that can be a real hit or miss because there are sooooooo many girls waiting outside, how would sellers choose? Although I did see one transaction in progress haha, the girls were sooooo happy. I think I would be too though lol.
I hope you can find a way to go! It's surely a concert tour not to be missed! XD

Date: 2009-11-09 05:03 pm (UTC)Oh, lucky you! Congratz on being able to get the tickets online ^^ Maybe I should look into hotel prices too...
But in the end it might add up to about the same as the Tokyo Dome ticket prices, so I guess it's a tradeoff.
Thanks for giving me the inside scoop on this, it's awesome to see how other fans are dealing with it!

Date: 2009-11-10 01:47 am (UTC)the same person who sold me my ticket got a ticket to kokuritsu through yahoo!auctions... johnny's threatened that they were going to check ticket names with fanclub ids to make sure no one bought tickets off auctions or whatever, but they never did. they don't go for cheap on yahoo!auctions, but there always have tickets.
so good luck!

Date: 2009-11-10 05:22 am (UTC)I just think if your friend gets lucky that should be a way to go.
Getting tickets online or any other places is really dangerous!!
I thinks being a true fan and if you can't get the ticket, listen from outside the dome!!

Date: 2009-11-10 11:53 pm (UTC)but i only arrive in tokyo ON the day the concerts start
so i highly doubt i will have any chance of organizing a ticket before then
plus i dont speak a lot of jap
i have still be looking at ticket.co.jp
and it seems that on the sunday there are cheaper tickets Atm like 42K
than the 250K
i think that when it says that they have 2 it is 'make an offer'
i am not sure though
but if so, i would be willing to buy the other one!!!
if not ill be going a listening from outside
