Ohara Masako of comedy duo Kuwabata Ohara wrote an entry titled 'Tokujou Kabachi!!' in her official blog today (9th November). She wrote that she will be making a guest appearance in the first episode. The entry was written after the actors met up for an introduction meeting. "Beginning with the main characters Sakurai Sho and Horikita Maki, the rest of the cast members which includes Nakamura Masatoshi and Asano Yuko were all gathered in full force." She also wrote about seeing Maki without make-up. "She still looks the same!! Too cute!!"

'Tokujou Kabachi!!', a manga that has been published in weekly magazine 'Morning' since 1999 was made into a drama 'Kabachitare' by Fuji TV in 2001. The popular series averaged 19.3% in ratings over 11 episodes. 'Tokujou Kabachi!!' is a continuation of 'Kabachitare' but this sequel is handled by a different station and a completely different cast so it remains to be seen if it would prove to be a hit for TBS as well.

Masako Ohara of the Kuwabata Ohara comedy duo has revealed in her official blog on Monday that Takashi Tajima and Takahiro Kochi's Tokujō Kabachi!! Kabachitare! 2 workplace manga will be adapted into a live-action drama series next January. The story centers around the employees of a legal document firm.

Ohara herself will appear in the first episode, while the main cast consists of Sho Sakurai (Honey and Clover, Yatterman) of the Arashi musical group and Maki Horikita (Always: Sunset on Third Street, Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva).

Tokujō Kabachi!! Kabachitare! 2 has been running in Kodansha's Weekly Morning magazine since 1999, and there are now 18 compiled book volumes published. Both the Tokujō Kabachi!! Kabachitare! 2 manga and the original Kabachitare! manga are the creations of Naniwa Kin'yudo creator Yuuji Aoki. The original Kabachitare! manga has already been adapted into a live-action television drama series in 2001 with a different cast and an average 19.3% rating. Naniwa Kin'yudo was adapted into two live-action television drama series in 1996 and 2007.

The Tokujō Kabachi!! Kabachitare! 2 television series will premiere in January on Japan's TBS network.

Oh yeah, I saw this last night on Sho's DramaWiki! I didn't realize that it was a continuation of Kabachitare, though - I had started watching it a couple of years ago, but the subtitlers dropped it. I wonder if it'll be picked up again, now that Sho's in part two (and since it's the one where Yamapi shows off his 16-year-old back end XD).

OHGOD, I don't know what it's about or anything, I just saw the words "drama" and "Sakurai Sho" and "Horikita Maki" in (just about) the same sentence and it made my year. Three of my favourite things in the world, all rolled into one <3 <3 <3

Ehem , I`d love to see them work together . Since Sho is in
this , I have a good feeling the theme song will be sung by
Arashi . I noticed that in the dramas Arashi members are in
recently , Arashi sings the theme song .

Hope this is true and I have something to look forward to next
year . Because Nino`s and Matsuyama`s movie isn`t till 2011 .

Another drama for Sho? I guess we get open the new year with Sho. Just wondering, is the other "drama" where Sho is a journalist about the earthquake a one off special? or drama with x number of episodes?

I hope they get to do the theme song to this drama too. Maki Horikita gets to work with another Arashi member, lucky her.

I believe its a docudrama for the commemoration of Kode earthquake and he portrays the struggle of a journalist at that time... so its pretty much like a SP...

O______O Kabachitare! I really hope the remaining episodes will finally be subbed like for The Quiz Show. That would mean 1 more Yamapi drama I can add to my "finished watching" list.

wow!another drama for sho...he did a great job in Th Quiz Show so i'm looking forward to his drama...^_^ i saw nothing wrong with maki though i can't say i'm a big fan of hers...though i watch her dramas...^_^ i also hope that arashi will get to sing the theme song for the drama so they can releade another song...coz i doubt that they'll get to sing the theme song for jun's drama (the one for fujitv) hehe...^_^
