6:50-6:55 Arashi Discovery Satoshi Ohno FM Yokohama Today’s topic is metabolic syndrome. Me, for a period of time a little, a little I gained. (weight) I did drama until Marchi, then it was over. As I felt quite calm, like “Alrighty, I eat!” Then ate a lot. Usually I lose it rapidly. But it took me a month (to lose weight) I wondered why? Why? I had such a period. I ‘m already back again. Well, we did concert till yesterday. When I do concert I lose weight at once. So, what I shouldn’t is to get screwed up, to change object of concert. This is absolutely I should not to do. I know. Well… but…even all that dancing… right. Well I thought I have to work out, yep. Anyway it was scary. But I do push-ups and crunch everyday. But only 30 times.

Date: 2009-11-16 05:03 pm (UTC)I used to be a big fan and loved to watch SMAPxSMAP. Now, compared to Arashi shows, I don't get it. :S
The only things they really have in common are Johnny's and popularity. However I feel that Arashi did a lot more work on their own will to earn their popularity. SMAP were a brand that was pushed by JE, whereas Arashi is both a mixture of subliminal marketing and their own willingness to really throw themselves out there and into anything.
In short, I do hate how people compare them, especially all of a sudden in Arashi's tenth year! "Holy wizzer! Where did these five guys overtaking SMAP come from?"
Even Softbank and au are playing off on this, though Softbank are failing to beat what au already had.

Date: 2009-11-16 05:05 am (UTC)I don't know about you, guys...but I'm a little worry with all the medias attention on Arashi and now NTV want to move Shukudai-kun to PT or GT....I love shuku the way it is, I do not want the show to be changed because the change time slot *like VSA. I don't know why but I love the old VSA more as the GT VSA, I felt they lack/miss something there and I'm not so ardent with the PLUS1* Their late night show is their trandmark since I remember *Mayonaka*, in the show they're so free to do what they pleased...which full of idiotic moments ^^
It has been a long way until they reached this point and I want for them to stay the same, the way that make me love them so much in the first place.

And i hope this won't affect their mood/enthusium for tv shows, since they can't be as free to do what they want(all those dorkiness we love so much), it can become tiring when they have so much things to consider of when it's golden..

I think the show being shown earlier will allow Arashi's young school fans to watch, since most can't stay up late, and this will give them even more exposure in Japan. But at the same time, I'm scared that NTV will change the format of the show and it won't be funny anymore. Also, ratings for the show will become an even bigger factor now. Although Arashi's SPs have been getting high ratings, the ratings for regular programs are just so-so. I'm scared that if one day, Arashi's shows don't get good rating anymore, the network will cancel the shows. Whereas, if the show is aired at midnight, rating is not such a big deal anymore.
Regarding Kohaku, I personally don't want Arashi to attend. I rather have Arashi just focus on the Johnny's Countdown concert than having to do Kohaku and then rush over to Johnny's Countdown and miss half of the concert like TOKIO every year. And am I the only one who think Kohaku is super boring?

- Kouhaku Utagassen - Red & White Song Battle. No. Leave Arashi alone. They do not deserve to be shoved into a calm hall of smiling people, enka fans, and diamond-studded costume wearing singers. I admit that sometimes the tension of Kouhaku can get up there but Arashi belong on the Johnny's stage. I also get the impression that they would be much happier there, singing for their fans.
NHK, stop trying to steal Arashi's sunshine, rainbows and ratings!

Date: 2009-11-16 05:20 pm (UTC)At first I was a little taken aback too - I thought it was kind of silly because I had heard much deeper reasons (such as the events of 9.11 and the words of a close friend) for Sho wanting to become a newscaster. (Sho mentions it in his interview for +act magazine which featured his semi-naked photo shoot on the cover.)
However I then remembered Sho had all four of his wisdom teeth out at once. I don't know how many of you have had that experience but if I could sum up my own in three things I remember, it would be:
1. The first time I fainted in my life was in the chair (I didn't go to hospital because I was too frightened to be anesthetized - Sho had his taken out in hospital)
2. My nickname for a week was "Pikachu" thanks to my bulging, swollen cheeks.
3. My father once complained of an awful smell near me, then realized it was my breath as I couldn't properly close my mouth.
Johnny's cannot have a puffy-cheeked smelly-breath idol. I can understand that Sho really must have wondered what would become of him if he was stuck that way. We all know that looks have a high priority in Johnny's.
I'm not sure if Sho saw it exactly the same way - just a thought to consider.
