as far as my japanese is enough the read the title- ARASHI DID IT :DDD they hit single ranking #1-#4 <333 would be nice if anyone can do a whole translation :)

　5人組グループ・嵐の 新曲「マイガール」が11/23付シングルランキングの首位に初登場。発売1週目で43.2万枚を売上げ、自身の「明日の記憶／Crazy Moon～キミ・ハ・ムテキ～」（初動売上502,487枚・今年5月発売）、「Believe／曇りのち、快晴」（初動売上501,988枚・今年3月 発売）に続く、09年シングル3番目の初動売上を記録した。これにより、34.2万枚の初動売上で4位のシングル「Everything」（今年7月発 売）と合わせ、09年現時点でのシングル初動売上記録のTOP4作を嵐の作品が独占した。

　また、嵐によるシングル首位獲得は、2004年2月発売の「PIKA★★NCHI DOUBLE」以来17作連続、通算で24作目。嵐は、10月28日に発売されたDVD『5×10 All the BEST! CLIPS 1999-2009』でも、発売2週目で50.0万枚を越えるセールスを記録し、人気に勢いのあるところを見せたばかり。年末にかけて今後の記録更新な ど、セールス動向が注目される。

　本作には、10月9日にスタートしたメンバーの相葉雅紀が初主演するドラマ『マイガール』（テレビ朝日系）の主題歌のほか、カップリング曲には、同23日スタートのドラマ『0号室の客』（フジテレビ系）の主題歌「時計じかけのアンブレラ」が収録されている。

Arashi monopolizes top 1-4 spots for first week singles sales of 2009

The five-member group Arashi debuted at the top of single rankings for the week of November 23rd with their new song "My Girl". Following their own "Ashita no Kioku/Crazy Moon ~kimi wa muteki~" (with a first week sales of 502,487 copies, released this May) and "Believe/Kumorinochi, Kaisei" (with a first week sales of 501,988 copies, released this March), they recorded the third highest first week sales of 2009 with sales of 430,000 copies after one week since its release. In addition to this, combined with the fourth highest first week sales for the single "Everything" (released this July) at 342,000 copies, the top four spots of 2009's first week singles sales are all being monopolized by Arashi at this point in time.

Furthermore, this is Arashi's 24th time to capture the the top spot for singles sales, and also their 17th consecutive since "PIKANCHI DOUBLE", released in February of 2004. Even Arashi's "5x10 All the BEST! CLIPS 1999-2009" DVD released on October 28th has recorded sales of over 500,000 copies in two weeks in a thorough display of their popularity. With the year's end, future record-breaking and more, their sales trends are currently drawing much attention.

Regarding this piece of work, not only is it the theme song of fellow member Aiba Masaki's first featured drama, "My Girl" (TV Asahi) which began airing on October 9th, it also includes the coupling track "Tokei Jikake no Umbrella", the theme song to drama "0 Goushitsu no Kyaku" (Fuji TV) which started on the 23rd of the same month.

I doubt they'll make #1-4 in the yearly single ranking, thought that would be awesome. I've still got my fingers crossed for #1-3, though. I was also hoping they'd break the 500k mark in a week but they're only at 420k right now, right? Something like that. It's a shame, but I'm immensely proud of them all the same. <3

But either way, I'm proud of them. Even if they don't make it 1-3, it's still amazing on how well they're selling. Reminds me of an article about Arashi making fans forget Japan is in a recession. How true it is! I look forward to the end of the year rankings. It will definitely be interesting to see how things finally come to fold - and whether Arashi will keep up this winning streak over the next year. Personally I hope they will, but at the same time, I'd like them to give my wallet a break. Which probably won't happen considering Sho-chan's drama this winter and the Drama SP coming next spring. And the concert DVD which will be coming up eventually. I'm so mad excited for them!

Thanks for posting this article! Nice to know they're breaking records all over the place. Hope they can continue~ (and at the same time, I hope they get some rest soon. I worry about them, really. Didn't Sho-chan say he doesn't have any more days off this year? >< Poor boy.)

i get what you mean X___X!!! since I'm saving my money for my first japan trip next summer i can't buy anythign at the moment ;___;°! Just decided to buy MY GIRL photobook <3 Because I got obsessed with Aiba and Koharu-chan <3
But I'm sure that I'm going to buy a ton of arashi things in japan XDDD i guess my room will turn into a fangirl center where i can#t go sleep without huge nosebleeding xD

but yeah it would be amazing if they get 1-4 ;__; but well okay my girl released too late X___x°
