I guess this marks the debut for Arashi's appearance on Kouhaku Utagassen

I think Johnny allowed them to be there because of finally NHK agreed to expand J&A's participant from 2 to 3 frames this year.

Tokio are regular guests at Kohaku from ages, and they are at JE countdown every year as well. Nagase managed also to host a Countdown so... I think we will have our guys to both shows ^^

NHK makes an exception this year and expand it to 3 frames. If NHK didn't agree with Johnny's demand to expand its frame, I don't think Arashi will participate.
