I hope they sing Clockwork Umbrella. There is this small chance they will as FNS is a Fuji TV show and Visitor of Room 0 is also a Fuji show. Note that the commercial that they show on Fuji TV promoting the My Girl single has Clockwork Umbrella playing instead of My Gir. But does Arashi have the time to practice new choreography given that they have a ton of work to do what with the upcoming special drama, the Tokyo Dome concerts, Jun's special, Sho's dramas, etc.

Now I think the addition of NYC Boys into Kouhaku seems sad and kinda pathetic now. People in Japan, including reporters, are also going, huh? So it wasn't just us wondering.

I really hate how Johnny-san use Arashi just so his precious little YumaPi #2 can be on one of the biggest stage of the year. NYC Boys, I like them, but they do not deserve to be in there and the fact that he threaten to take out Arashi...Grrr. This just made me hate Johnny-san more.

->Haha, I knew it. Johnny wouldn't let Arashi go to Kohaku without gaining something from it. And that something being more publicity to his youngest debut-ers.

-> And obviously, just Yuma and B.I. Shadow in Kohaku would not sell to NHK, since they've just debuted, and they're not all that popular. So Yamada and Chinen were added.

Haha, Johnny is really a negotiator, huh.
I'm not really happy since NYC Boys are there not because they were really acknowledged as a very successful group, but rather just more publicity for them. Well, that's that~

in exchange for lending Arashi to participate in Kohaku, NHK must agree to Johnny's proposal which is, having NYC boys to participate as well..it was originally just Yuma and B.I.Shadow but then again, NHK thought that it's just not right and practically baseless so the old man decided to just take Chinen and Yamada along..

I didn't want to say anything when I first heard that NYC Boys were going to be in it in case there was some fangirl around to jump on me but I really was wondering why the hell were they there and I even thought in my head that it must have been Johnny-san's negotiating.

As much as I don't like him using Arashi as a bargaining chip, I suspect he does it all the time (Like how Arashi are now allowed to sing the opening song for every drama they're in when before they didn't and not even yamapi or other groups gets to) and considering he has his own new years show to run it does make it really awkward for him if his main acts aren't there so he should get something out of and it makes sense for him to push one of the younger groups onto the show since they cant do countdown.

So as a business man I'm used to Johnny-sans tactics but on a personal note I do find it really creepy how much he loves Yuma.

Thanks for always updating us, I really hope they sing tokei jikake no umbrella, it wouldn't be that odd for them to sing B side, they sang Season on music lovers and it was only a B side that was used in a commercial.

yeah the times I was thinking about for Arashi were Matsujun's dramas that V6 sang for instead (though I really actually liked V6's Darling, it always gets stuck in my head, so I'm not really complaining) and then some of Nino's drama - which were all on FujiTv so I guess there must be some truth in it that FujiTv doesn't want to use their songs... Though in my head I stupidly thought when I first heard they were using a Bz song for Buzzer Beat was because it had so many Bs in the title and that in made perfect sense.

It could also just be that FujiTv doesn't want a song sung by one of the leading actors of the show, it can break the character, like it would have been really distracting and strange if Ryo ever went from slapping his girlfriend and committing suicide in one scene and then suddenly singing a pop song.

As for the Music Lovers thing, I knew about the AU connection I just meant making them sing a B side there would be the same as FujiTv making them sing tokei jikake no umbrella to promote Room 0.

Also does anyone now the Oricon ranking for 2009, I've seen the half year ranking where arashi are number 1 and 2 but the person who's third (Junko Akimoto - Ai no Mama de) had sold 452,000 at the time so if my girl has sold 473,987 does that mean that they're 1,2 and 3 in yearly singles ranking... fingers crossed ^^
