HK version of 5x10

Hey guys,

I just have a quick question! Do any of you have the Hong Kong version of 5×10 All the BEST! CLIPS 1999-2009?
If so, are the Chinese subs removable? I'm curious because I remember a while back, someone said you couldn't take them off the HK edition of the Time concert, and if that's the case then I'll try wait for the Korean version. Any info would really be appreciated!

most of the times, chinese dvds have subs and it's unremovable .

If you are looking for a DVD without subtitles, then you should just get the Japan version. The subtitles on the Korean version, I believe, like the HK version, cannot be removed.

Ah okay thanks, I'm a cheapskate so I was hoping to get one that was less expensive than the Japanese version! (but I may have to!) I do know the Korean version for Time had removable subtitles. So I wonder if that's the case for this one.

I actually have the Korean version of AAA 2008 in Tokyo and I can watch it without subtitle. So maybe not all Korean version have the subtitle which cannot be removed

My Taiwan version 5x10 clips dvd can be watch without chinese subtitle, but I don't know how about Hong Kong version...but I think they are the same version, because CD serial number（JAJDV57025/6）are the same.

hey there, mine is also the HK version. and i got a bit irritated with the subs coz i can't remove it same with the AAA 2008. don't really care for the subs coz i can't understand them. lolol would've tolerated if it's romanized and english translations just like what the subbing groups do. haha

hmmmm but the japanese version is more expensive than the korean one right? so maybe next time i'll just buy the korean one coz i can remove the subs....

You're right, the Japanese version is about double the price of the HK or Korean versions. I think that's crazy! They have exactly the same content except for different language writing in the DVD menu and on the DVD itself. And since I don't read either Japanese or Korean, it doesn't bother me which version I get! Just as long as I can see the concert!! :D

So I would definitely recommend the Korean versions for next time. I bought the K version of the Time DVD convert, and it looks perfect! I can remove the subs if I want to or switch them back on (should I miraculously know Korean)

yeah a bit frustrating for me to see those subs that i don't understand! i bought them when i went to hk so i was not one of those who pre-ordered in the net. shipping fee is expensive.

i have a Time DVD too and i can't remember which version i bought. wahahahaha just bought it for collection purposes but for my viewing pleasure, i'll resort back to watching the subbed con....

me too! can't read japanese nor korean so i'd rather that subs are not there or at the very least the one with english translated subs or the romanized lyrics so i can sing along.

I batch order my things from yesasia. So then shipping and customs becomes free (at least where I live).

I think actually the Korean version is out in Korea! But again, since I order my arashi things from Yesasia, I know that it's not available to order from that site specifically. I keep stalking that site though! I hope it comes out soon. I know they normally release Korean versions from there so it's only a matter of time.

But yeah if I was in HK at the time and saw the DVD, I'd probably not even think about the subs, and just be excited to see the MERCH in front of me.

and i think 5x10 clips just a special case, because it's NOT a concert live dvd, so the subtitle can be removable...
