I'm going to HK and Macau on Dec-Jan. Is there any unofficial JE stores ( or like those stores that sell pics/posters of idols) over there? And where can I buy photobooks and magazines? Aside from HMV where can you buy CD's?

Oh, and I think Arashi's gonna release a new single in Jan. How long after the Japanese release will the single be available in HK?

Sorry for asking a lot but please help!

And, is there NHK in HK? I don't want to miss Kohaku!!!

OT: Ocean Park or HK Disneyland. We can only go to one so please help me decide. Preferably, add a reason why.

for HK basically its sino center in Mong Kok - its got tonnes of jap stuff~ CD usually on the basement floor other floors also have some unoffical pics - if ur lucky u might see a few offical poster that is on sell... for mag and photobook well find it there aswel, mainly those are the newest mag like myojo, potato etc. and also other jap mag can be found there

if u really want to check offical JE stuff, there are some shops in sino [its like got these boxes in the shop that fans sell their JE stuff] or this place called j-friends near sino - its the building where spegetti house is [take the lift] in there are also those boxes things with tonnes of JE stuff including offical uchiwa, poster, past magazine, folders etc. etc. but a bit expensive....

er.. i dnt think there is NHK in hk.. well there is NHK world but its different == but i duno maybe hotel has NHK xD

n... well ahaha i would choose ocean park - HK disney land is like small == the castle is like small.. basically everything is small xD ahahah well ocean park is kinda in construction.. ish xD but i still think its better then disney land esp the rides xD i love the mine train ahaha n there's more to see

hehe hope i can help you answer ur question ^^

btw mong kok has other cheap stuff around like clothes and all that so be sure to check it out, and be sure to go to stanly xD n the peak its like a tourist must go place.

hope you have fun in HK and macau!

p.s

about the new single thing well when the offical news is out about the new single u can order it in sino or hmv or any cd store n usually u will able to be it the day it is realse

usually i order at sino n they tell me to get the cd like either on the day, or somthings a day or so before xD so yeah its pretty fast~

if u dnt order it then u can usually see it on rack the day its release or a day or two after. unless its all pre-ordered...

i suggest to go to Sino Centre in Mong Kok. It has lots of JE stuff, well...lots of KAT-TUN and NEWS..there is quites a bit of arashi and (very little for V6 and TOKIO & SMAP).

for CDs they have it in sino centre as well :D ... and for HMV..there's really not that much arashi stuffs.

and there no NHK in HK, at least not the japanese one. (from what I know :P, cuz my family is not japanese addicted....except me of course). well, you can use keyholeTV?

and I would recommend Ocean Park. Bigger, more games, more things to see.
and I never been to the HK disneyland, but it's small D:

i saw the AAA DVD, the HK ver. was 200 something, but the jp version if like over 500

I agree sino centre has lots of japanese stuff~!
I went crazy there xD
You should try those second hand cd shops. I got 1 of my Arashi single for like HKD40 & the conditions of the cds are actually very good, near to a new one. Though some of it doesn't have the obi. The cds are actually Japan version. 0.0
But i must say that the Limited verion cds aren't exactly cheap. Compared to the RE & LE the difference can come up to SDG30 [ sorry i only remembered the converted amount ]

Ocean park or Disneyland.. hmmm..
Yeah, i would choose oceanpark too. :/
Cos you won't really have that much thing to do in disneyland. You can actually finish everything in like half a day if there's no queue for the rides. LOL
And in oceanpark, you can take those rollercoaster which is much exciting~~~ =D

ENJOY~ =DDDD

Aside from Sino Centre, there is also I think at least three Kaimonoou stores, i can't remember the specific address but I know one is in Tseun Wan, One at the basement of somewhere in Mong Kok (lol I'm so not helpful sorry) and one is in Sha Tin's New Town Plaza. They don't have CDs and stuff but they have all the magazines and the occasional photobook. Try googling it haha, I have the specific address somewhere but can't find it at the moment >_<

You can also give Asahiya a try, it's on the 11th Floor at Times Square

and I say I'd choose oceanpark too.
They're under construction right now but it's still open, so much more fun IMO. The Disneyland is small and you waste so much time in lines if it's busy, but if it's not busy you're finished going around the part in around 5 hours...I dunno, I didn't enjoy my experience there at all =A=
and come one Oceanpark has PANDAS!!!! AND JELLY FISH!!! !@#%$& I want to go back now >3<

i can't really give much info on the things mentioned. The ONLY one that i'll give you info on would be whether to go to Ocean park or Disneyland.

i'd tell you to go to Ocean Park. HANDS DOWN. The rides there are better than Disneyland, the THINGS you can do there is SO much more than Disneyland. There is a cablecar ride, animal shows, rides, rides and more rides. Trust me. You'll have more fun in Ocean Park than in Disneyland. And the attractions there in Ocean Park wins Disneyland hands down, with feet. HAHAH!

Yeah, as everyone else has mentioned, you should definitely visit Sino Center in Mong Kok if you're looking for JE goods or really any kinds of Asian celebrity goods...they have a lot.

I'd choose Ocean Park too just because it's seriously a lot bigger than HK Disneyland and there's a ton more rides/attractions to choose from. They have lots of interesting things like an aquarium, pandas, a cable car ride, etc.

i'm not gonna say too much about JE shopping in HK because i'm just gonna be telling you about sino centre again :P

but just to let you know, i'm voting for ocean park too for all the reasons everybody else has mentioned here (:

Umm, a lot of people asked about the HK question. I'm sure other people can help you out w/ that. But you can get all your JE need at Sino Centre in Mong Kok (Hong Kong).

Ocean Park or HK D-Land? Ocean Park all the way!

Oh, Sogo (Japanese department store in HK) also has a Japanese bookstore. It's located on the 9th floor or something (I forgot). It's kinda like a Kinokuniya. I don't remember the name of the book store. But if you want to buy the lastest mags besides Sino Centre, you can go there.

Thanks!!!
