Part 1: In the interview with Yuka who acted as Yoko
Q: What is your impression of Masamune the main character?
A: Somehow at first glance, he gives the impression that he is one who is passive and family oriented.
However I think he is a person of great fortitude to be able to commit himself to only one woman and to think of her continuously for six years. I wonder if this is not something that he has in common with Youko.
I believe when it comes down to the crunch, he is really a person that you can rely on.
And for this reason, knowing that instead of bothering about his own future, he would choose to be with her, Youko takes it upon herself to pull away from him.
Q: What is your opinion of Aiba who is portraying such a character?
A: Although I only started reading the original manga after having heard news of Aiba Masaki being selected to portray Masamune, I would go “ah! This role fits him perfectly!” as I was reading it.
In reality, I went “Ah! Its really Masamune!” when I saw Aiba dressed as his character with his spectacles and school uniform. * laughs *
Q: What are your thoughts on acting together as lovers?

I thought Aiba-kun did really well for the role of Masamune. Why? Not because he is like Masamune's character, but rather he is different (for example I think Aiba-kun is a more happy-go-lucky, at ease person than Masamune) so to be able to act as someone different and be convincing is much more impressive! Aiba-kun sugoi!!

Date: 2009-12-22 02:16 pm (UTC)I think that they are rather different in character. I love Aiba in his spontaneity, which he does not share with Masamune. Though I believe Aiba tapped into his natural kindness to portray such a vulnerable Masamune-kun. He was so brilliant in his role that I totally forgot I was looking at our Aiba. He was totally convincing in Masamune-kun. So that I am now in love with Aiba in more than one form, hahaha. ;D

Date: 2010-08-21 08:50 am (UTC)It's very interesting that I saw her in drama with Oh-chan played the role of older sister and then seeing her with Aiba-chan as a girlfreind.. that's quite intersting, ne especially Oh-chan is actually older than Aiba-chan too. :)
In this role, I think she must be really strong in phisical and strong in mind too. It must be really hard for her too to take care of her daughter by herself without saying anything to Masamune-kun. And that's must be because 'Yoko-san' really care for Masamune-kun, ne ^^
And I just love how everyone saide that Aiba-chan doesn't make everyone stress, but instead he made everyone feel comfortable and not stress at all. And that's because he always smile and talk to everyone and play with the kids that were also in the scenes. ^^
