Hoping to finish sharing translations of interviews with the cast of My Girl that has mentions of Aiba before his bday. Forging on, I give you part two of the interviews that has mentions of Aiba from the My Girl official book. :)

In the interview with Shingo Murakami who acted as Tomoya sensei

Q: Tomoya is considerably demanding of Masamune.

A.I feel that a certain part of Tomoya is jealous of Masamune for not keeping to the norm. Tomoya is not able to fulfill his own role as a father and can only watch as Masamune fulfills his duty to his daughter.

Don’t you think that while Tomoya is an excellent nursery teacher, he is helpless when it comes to his personal affairs? And while he is lacking in the career and culinary department, Masamune is someone who is seriously seriously resilient to the core.

On top of that, everyone would become so touched by Masamune that they would open up and reveal their vulnerability to him. I believe that there is something in him that opens the doors to one’s heart.

I look forward to seeing how the other characters develop under the influence of Masamune.

Q: What do you think of Aiba’s portrayal of Masamune?

A: Even if he is to encounter a situation like Masamune did, I believe that fellow will just grit his teeth and deal with it in like fashion.

I reckon he will deal with it with a “what ever will be will be” way; pliantly accepting whatever situation he is dealt with and doing the utmost best that he can.

Q: How was it like collaborating with Aiba, an old acquaintance?

A: It was extremely easy working with him!

Even when we had to do tension ridden scenes, apart from channeling whatever energy that was needed into our characters, there wasn’t any unnecessary stress.

If we had to do scenes with the children, he would play with them while helping to lighten the atmosphere. He is someone who is great at creating a comfortable environment.

My ichiban are Aiba and Ohno. I think that is because I find they both have a soothing personality, and both seem kindest beings.

^^

I like how they all mention how easy it is to be around Aiba. Or rather, how easy Aiba naturally makes it for everyone to be around him. Such a person is very precious to have around, ne? I envy them. ^^

Thank you for yet another great translation. I am still amazed at how great it flows. Arigatou for sharing your talent with us. :)

Thank you very much for translating and sharing ^^

I was kind of surprise that he's playing the role of the teacher, I thought he would be like a friend of Maamune-kun. ^^' but he did a good job in this role combine with Aiba-chan :)

I think for me this role may be hard for me too. It's the role that he's really good with the kids at school, but not as a father. It's sad, but I think he was able to overcome that hardship :)

Thanks again for sharing ^^
