Arashi nicknames?

Okie. I am a fairly new Arashi fan, and I've been wodering about something for a while now, so I'm just going to ask. It's about Oh chan and Aiba chan's nicknames.


How did Oh chan get the nick name Ohji chan? And Aiba chan get the Super Idol Aiba chan nick name?

And I'm really sorry if people have asked this question a lot... I tried to find it on the internet, but I seem to be out of luck. Thanks a bunch, in advace.

I'm pretty sure he got the Fumi one from Sho.... and I think it's short for something, but I can't remember at the moment.

It's actually "文男" (Fumio), and it was Nino who gave him that nickname, not Sho ^^;

I think Aiba won some Super Idol contest...details not too sure. I'm sure someone will have a better idea of how Aiba's nickname came about...

hmm...wasn't Aiba given 'Super Idol' in the 'All or Nothing' dvd because of the way he always waves at his fans?...oh, that was 'King of Idol' actually. lol. ^^'

I'm not really sure where Aiba-chan got his nickname, but yea, Oh-chan's nickname of Ojichan is because he acts like an old man sometimes ^^; I also always assumed it was because he's the oldest.

wasn't Aiba's super idol nickname given to him because he entered Johnny's without even knowing what it was all about? (he entered cause he wanted to play basket with Smap and was shocked when he learned he had to dance and sing if I remember correctly) I think I heard somewhere that the nickname was given to him to humor him or was it because he loved the enternment a lot even though he entered cluelessly? Really not sure about anything I'm writting but I read this somewhere ^^;;;; which mean it's probably not reliable at all XD

Aiba got his "Super Idol" nickname from his Jr. days, supposedly from scoring the highest on an idol test thing conducted either on one of the variety shows that the Jrs. were on, or by the jimusho (I'm not too sure about that). The host from 8 Jida J/I LOVE JR. would always call him "Super Idol Aiba-chan" though... hope that helps ^^;

Oh, as someone already said, Ohno got his nickname from 1) being the oldest and 2) acting like an old man.

I have an old episode of what I believe is Music Jump somewhere on my computer, where several of the then-Juniors had this... dancing contest thingie, for lack of a better word. Aiba was already called Super Idol Aiba back then. I think it should be around 1998 or 1999, but before their debut.

Unfortunately my computer is at the store right now, so I am unable to check for the date or what exactly was going on in that episode.

Randomly, I vaguely recall Jun being called 'pretty boy' Jun. XD
