specs or contacts??

 hello everyone!!!!
 just wanna ask if all of the members wears eyeglasses in real life. Like jun for example- he wears eyeglasses and contact lenses right? so i'm curious if others have poor eyesight as well.

yes - nino wears one in real life, one instance is his performance in niji, he wore glasses so he can better see the keys

i know ohno wears one too but not the one with a high grade level....

Jun wears glasses and contacts because he's near-sighted while Ohno is far-sighted. I guess Nino wears glasses now because his eyes got so stressed with playing video games a lot. XD Not sure about Aiba and Sho though but I saw off-time pictures of Aiba wearing glasses but that might be just an accessory.

I guess Jun-kun needs glasses because of his reading habits. In an episode of AnS (the one where they had to sleep on the mats, and Ohno-san ended up sleeping for real.. Jun-kun was reading while lying on his back.)

Oh yeah, Nino-san during his Niji perf.. it was kind of apparent that he needed glasses to see the keyboards properly. XD bless the ojiisan.

I didn't know that Ohno-san was far-sighted. Does that mean he uses contacts as well? (Somehow I have the impression that he looks adorable in glasses. =^U^=)

perhaps nino is a little near-sighted since he need glasses to look at piano keys in concert lights...but i dont think the grade level is up now cause usually after 20 your eyes don't change again

in Everything MV, one part makes me thinks that Nino wore contacts, because the yellow light reflects on his eyes and i can somewhat see the ring.

i think for aiba and sho, they wear contact lenses at times, because in their pictures the color of their iris changes, hahaha and also i can see the ring,

I have a friend (who is Asian) and you can see those rings in her eyes as well. I don't think they're the work of contact lenses. Those decorative contacts usually make your eyes look really stony and huge, and I've never seen it on any of the members. Their irises are pretty medium-sized.

I think Aiba chan is 20/20 but Sho kun does wear contacts..

i think, if i am not mistaken..

aiba-chan has perfect eye sight, i read in some interview from a magazine that his eyesight is 20/20.

jun-kun he's near-sighted so he needs glasses.

nino and riida are both far-sighted, as people know nino wearing glasses for the niji performance, and i saw it from music station, the minisute one, riida wearing the harry potter-kinda glasses, and they said they bought it in korea when they were looking for nino's glasses to perform with for AAA2008....

for sho i don't really know, well maybe he does because he reads too much newspapers, and news.. but i am not really sure about sho-chan.

sho has mentioned before that he has perfect eyesight . . . if i'm not mistaken he mentioned it in the interview at vanila kibun for the yatterman promotion. apparently his eyesight was better than the last time it was checked (they all underwent a full medical check-up at the start of this year).

I think just recently (probably Feb 2010 issue of POPOLO) there is an article about Saigo no Yakusoku, in which Sho's character wears glasses, and the article said sth about Sho is not used to the glasses and he takes them off during breaks because he doesn't wear glasses in real life.

While on the topic of eyes, I was watching their Kouhaku Promo on Shounen Club Premium and Ohno had his left eye covered. Is is just for fun or did something happen to his eye??

Just some side info...

Nino mentioned in an article recently that he wears glasses when he writes music, and when he plays piano and guitar. Well, he probably actually needs the glasses when he's playing piano, but he said he wears them during those times because it makes him concentrate within the frame of the glasses. Like he has his vision framed so it makes him be able to focus. I thought that was really interesting, hehe.
Actually I wear glasses only to see far away in the dark (like driving at night), so I think I can understand what he means, if you don't usually wear glasses, when you do you feel like your vision is framed somehow. (Or maybe me and Nino are just weird, lol xD)

haha, i agree with you (and nino) abt the framing thing. i wear contacts 97% of the time, but when i switch to my glasses, i pay more attention since my peripheral vision is gone and i can see clearly just through the frames. O_O

For Aiba and Sho they have perfect eyesight but sometimes they wore coloured contacts.

I'm pretty sure Nino wears glasses in his private time. He did mention that he wears them when he's on the computer, or playing the piano/guitar :3 Though I haven't seen him with contacts so far (his eyes are naturally brown, which is much lighter compared with the others... in some photoshoots it's really obvious and extremely pretty) so it's not that bad I think.

Just to add to what has been said:

Sho said in interviews and in his own blog that when they underwent the medical check up he had better than perfect eye sight. If he does wear contacts, it would be for an effect and they probably have no prescription to them. Sometimes too, the photographer will bring special lights up really close so the shapes or certain colors will reflect in their eyes - I don't think anyone would mistake it for contact lens but just saying that's another way they can get shapes and what not in their eyes.

I put on my glasses when I need them. I don't really like them, but I'm not vain enough to force tiny ever-disappearing and hurting contact lenses in my eyes. *shudders*

Haha, I actually had that thought before I was forced to wear contacts. LOL.
Apparently, its not really that bad.
Somehow, I got used to it and contact lenses doesn't hurt, really.
