Twitter project Saigo no Yakusoku

Okay we decided to stop the Twitter Project #ARASHI at 1AM japan time, which means two hours after the end of Saigo no Yakusoku.
We got banned from twitter one after another, cause we spammed to much, but in the end, we DIDN'T make int into the trending topic.
Here are a few things i think WHY this didn't suceed T_T 

1. It was announced too late D: Well nobody had the idea until the last moment xD so it's nobodys fault :P
2. A lot of people has been watching Saigo no Yakusoku instead of Twittering. Well okay, it's nothing bad about it, because this should all be because of Saigo no Yakusoku. So this can't be blamed as well xD But I'm happy that there have been people who has been able to watch and to tweet on the same time :D and someone (coolnat466  ) even did it from her WII xD so It's pretty amazing xD 

3.now to the main problem. At the same time when we have be doing #Arashi, Super Junior trended with #weloveshindong.
So no i don't want to their it's these kpop-fangirls guilt, but i used WtHashtag to check it, and well here is the results.

So Arashi Fangirls on twitter has done a pretty nice job. I mean with "only" 200+ contributors we had more Tweets then Super Junior Fangirls. But Why didn't we trend? 
Yeah i have no idea how Trending topic are calculated by Twitter, but my only guess would be, we have too less contributors >_< We need more arashi fangirls on twitter participiating D: It's not enough if just some of us are going crazy and getting banne and creating new accounts and becoming crazy with twitting. It seems that it won't work unless we have more people D: 

Edit: aku_land aku_land  send us a super amazing link here :) and as you can see, we did a lot more twitts, then we needed, but we had way tooo less contributors >__<! It just underlines my theory D:

No it's nobodys fault, we just started too late with this.
But there is still another time right? XD and This would be Sho's Birthday on 25th January XD 

So what about deciding for a name now already ^__^ ?

I'll add all sugesstions here and then we can make a poll or something xD Let's be sucessfull the next time XD (Yes I'm super Twitter addicted -.-)

The biggest problem for me is that the project started at what I think was something like 6AM my time. Sorry, but nothing's gonna get me up at 6AM on a Saturday... (unless someone's got early morning con tickets xD)

The birthday ones do better because they run for longer and people have some idea of their date ahead of time, lol. I vote for either #shotime, #failboat or #perfectbody because we could definitely get more of those "what's #xxx!?" tweets like we did for #miracleboy and #eggplant.

I agree with your observations (we talked abt this on twitter I think?) so I believe it really does depend on the ratio/proportion of tweets against the tweeters to get a topic to trend.

Also, we've been spamming about the Yatterman!Sho's bday tweetathon, yes? XD I think #sho would be awesome on its own; sho is very flexible. Like 'This is #sho amazing' or 'I feel #sho special'. At least its #shoshort but sweet (to quote @summoninfoolz). :D

There's also the chance that some Grammar Nazi like me would post a tweet like 'Why is a misspelled word trending?', just like how they asked around about #deadfisheyes (and #eggplant? idk the results of project #eggplant).

Or #failboat could work too, methinks. XD But of course, vox populi, vox dei. ;D

This one started way too early for me, and it might have been the same for the other USAers, especially ones in later timezones (ESTer here). I think the ones that start early in the Japanese day (late evening here) work best. It also could be that this was super last minute XD Just my theory, though.

I like #sho, #shotime, #perfectbody, and #failboat personally. It would make my day to see the comments asking why any of those are trending. And they would be easy to get tweets like "I have the #perfectbody", imo.

Though I like the simplicity of #sho [and the exploitability mwahaha], I'd like #perfectbody to trend because it will DEFINITELY trend with tweeple of all types. We can always add Sho has the #perfectbody to our tweets if we need to personalize it or something. :)

oh i got banned twice xDDD
everytime with 120+ tweets in like 1hour XD
but lucky when my second account got banned, my frist account was unbanned again XDDDDD
