Oricon single ranking, This year’s kanji was determinate 新（New）If you express music industry it must be 嵐. 2009 shows up Arashi’s great success. Following by domination of single no.1 & 2 at First part of year, My Girl that released November added no.3. This is 3^rd group of domination of top 3 by single artist is since Pink Lady in 1979 and Genji Hikaru in 1988. Also Arashi got Everything in no.5. They accomplished first record that domination 4 tunes on top 5. Swinging tune, “Believe” and medium ballad “Ashita no Kioku” heart-warming My Girl and others, the way to express is different but each underlies a song to reach people. Their skill of message didn’t betray listeners that why this result and can’t deny this is the motivating force to dominate 2 straight years.Oricon album ranking, Original albums and best albums engage in fierce competition. Oricon style, Arashi exclusive interview. Q: at ceremony it seems like Aiba-kun was pleased most. A: Last year I couldn’t attend this ceremony (Ohno-kun and Sakurai-kun attended.) I saw the scene in article. so I’m so glad to attend ceremony today and interview was fun too. (grin) Q: so trophy weight must be special for you? A&N:hefty. A: this weight of 2 years.N: it was amazing that we got trophy for all of us. (trophy of 4 crowns and a certificate) it must be rare that all have trophies and certificate.M:in addition each is different prize. S: so I realized it was good to be 5. M: not 6 (grin) Q: this record must be hard to break. Is it you break the record? All:oh, no.. M: Once is enough. (grin) Q: You have archived 10th year with very good news. Do you have any goal as group to go forward to next 5 and 10 years? S: We don’t have form of goal. we talk always this kind of things. Q: Is it just like mental part? for example firing up your spirit. something like that? S: Leader says always…. O:… M: did you forget? (grin) O: Do never forget basics. S: so, we don’t have specially goal. this (accomplishment of 4 crowns) is too high, so this can’t be our goal. M: this can’t be made however you target. Honestly we are lucky. Q: Arashi, the group that got such prizes, what part of yourself mostly preferred by all do you esteem objectively? S: Often told is “Tunes are good.” so I think we got good tunes. As we don’t create songs so we got good staffs, I think. Q: I felt your obsessiveness of your music a lot. you put new tune in best album and put your comments to DVD too. M: This is because, as this year each member communicated well with staffs, and we checked each phase each other for one goal. Q: I thought you elaborate. as you don’t create best album just like memorial one.M: it was not making memorial CD. as it was started from “what kind of album of this year” “what do we make?” Q: I felt each music has your obsessiveness. That’s why each piece comes to be long sales building word of mouth about its reputation. M: I realize we supported by various people. Q: it is rare, the artist supported by old and young such vast range of generation. N: It must be total, it must be tune too but it must be fun to watch us?
