Johnny's Jimusho is to start an agency-wide support project featuring their whole roster of entertainers in support for the Tohoku Area Earthquake. According to a source connected with the agency, the plan is to release a charity CD along with participating in events featuring these groups.

On the 18th, Johnny's has also provided a truck to transport various daily supplies like diapers and disinfectant to the affected areas to the town of Obunebashi in the Iwate Perfecture. Takizawa Hideaki (28), Imai Tsubasa (29), and Nakama Yuma (17) were also there to help with loading the truck.

"We want to support our fans. This is the time when we want to repay them," stresses Imai. "When we start something, it seems that people around us would also get involved. It is pertinent that we, as entertainers, and fans can work together," says Takizawa in regards to the importance of group support in order to get through the hard times.

The same agency also started a special unit called J-FRIENDS featuring 13 members, with some of its members born in the Western part of Japan, that featured members from the groups TOKIO, Kinki Kids, and V6 in support of the 1995 Kobe earthquake. They released a CD and also did various performances, a portion of the proceeds was donated to the victims of the earthquake, along with urging people to donate towards the relief effort.

With people speaking out about hoping for entertainers to support the relief effort, they thought that groups from the same agency can help with people overcoming the tough times. This time around, it seems that SMAP is also planning to join this agency-wide project.

I know this isn't exactly all about Arashi, but it seems that J-FRIENDS 2.0 (not the official name) is going to include Arashi too. I guess we better start saving money to buy the charity CD.

Thank you always you always your message. how happy I am as you always courage me. it seems situation is getting better little by little. yesterday as it was weekend, no blackout as we have enough electric supply. I spend bright night after long time. in Tokyo most of products at supermarket is back except rice and milk. as victim area was rice producing area, and major milk package factory was damaged. and situation of nuclear plant gets better a little. 2 of generator got electric supply and temperature dropped. and other electric supply connected to other 2 generators. now preparing to applying power. and most 1 critical generator is poured water over 13 hours until early this morning. another plat is poured water since this morning. situation stable. radiation level started dropping. many people working at site now at the risk of their life radiation in Tokyo  and victim area situation day by day getting worse. hope they will survive. I know Japan politic was unstable over months. and our leading system by country is weak. But let’s unite support to get rid of this situation!

I think I note what happen to me. That time I did shooting in Kawasaki. it was shaking in Kawasaki too. Shooting was suspended while. I came back to my dressing room. I found myself at a loss for words by image from TV. It was shaking that time too. So we could finish shooting I left studio at 17:00. I could arrive to my house without trouble.That was Friday. Sunday evening, I came not to shop crying. next morning. My eyes were swollen. People who watch Zero on Monday, sorry to worry about it. Next day it was first time 5 gathered. all were safe. I turn on only TV to get info and writing this one. It’s dark. [MOD] Update + Poll results

You guys should know the drill by now... and maybe not be so surprised when I tell you that we've had to reset the widget yet again? It's only been 9 whole days since we first officially kicked off this fundraiser, but the current total stands at...

$21,566.51 USD.

If that's not amazing, I don't know what is! And to think my original goal was something like $200 by the end of March...

Onto other happy news: The poll results are out!

As you can see here, Direct Relief International has garnered the majority of community votes and thus will be the charity organization we are donating to on the last day of March as part of our first batch payment. I've already submitted the registration they require from anyone looking to hold a fundraiser and donate money to their organization (you can find it here if you'd like to take a look for yourself). The correspondent from DRI has also looked over our fundraiser and promised a signed subordination letter, which I'm hoping will arrive tomorrow, at which point I will send over to Paypal and get the account unflagged. Like I said, though, it's still functional and donations can still be made at any time, being flagged just means that the account will be under surveillance for the time being, and I will not be able to transfer money to a bank account, close the Paypal account, etc.
