Can you guess what #hashtag will be used for Jan 25, 2010?

By a significant number of votes the hashtag that we will try to trend on Jan 25, 2010 is:

#perfectbody
at 12 noon JST

Please consult www.timeanddate.com to see what time 12 noon JST will be for your time zone! Of course, you can start tweeting #perfectbody whenever you feel like, but we'd like a lot of effort concentrated at 12 noon JST. If, for some unexpected reason, we cannot trend by 4PM JST, we may stop! Consider that our *exit* strategy.

Alright, so here are some rules and reminders for newbies and veterans! If you're new to Twitter, looking at the examples might help, too (click for bigger image)! :D

♪ ONE TWEET, ONE HASHTAG
★ An example of a valid tweet is " I love #perfectbody " or " Sho Sakurai has the #perfectbody "

♪ DO NOT SPAM!
★ Typing #perfectbody #perfectbody #perfectbody many times in one tweet will NOT count!



♪ DO NOT USE OTHER TRENDING TOPICS!
★ The trending topics on the right hand side are things we want to AVOID in our tweets!
★ In my example, my tweet will increase the number of tweets for #perfectbody but it will also help #letsbehonest


♪ UNLOCK YOUR TWEETS!
★ Go to SETTINGS and make sure that the box is NOT checked!
★ Protected tweets do not count!


 

♪ WARN YOUR NON-FAN FRIENDS
★ It's not absolutely necessary to do this, but it might save you from irritated friends who don't know or care about Arashi.

♪ Have Fun!
★ Trending parties are a great way to meet and follow new fans!

ok so as you all should know, K-pop fans have had their topics trending like crazy... and we have found their trick...
this was taken directly off of one of their posts that we have found on twitter...

but of course, I have spiced it up to reflect our interests not theirs XD and I added a little something extra XDD

so without further ado...

General Guidelines That You MUST Follow:

1. DO NOT SPAM! Your tweet should not (I repeat, SHOULD NOT) look like this:
#perfectbody #perfectbody #perfectbody #perfectbody #perfectbody
OR
#arashi  #arashi  #arashi  #arashi  #arashi  #arashi  
OR
#arashi  #perfectbody #tsuribaka #miracleboy #allthebest  #arashi  #tsuribaka #perfectbody #tsuribaka #miracleboy #allthebest  

THAT IS SPAM AND IT DOES NOT COUNT

2. DO NOT DO IT BEFORE THE DESIGNATED TIME
The way trending topics work is for a mass amount of people to tweet the same hash-tag at the same time. If you start doing it earlier than the designated time ... it'll be pointless and it will not make trending topics, which is what we want!

3. IT ISN'T THE NUMBER OF TWEETS, BUT THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE TWEETING.
The more people we have doing this, the more successful it will be!
You might want to force/ask/ even beg your friends, followers, etc to type #perfectbody ONCE per tweet! (Don't forget to say Thanks when they did (^^_))

4. UNLOCK YOUR ACCOUNT DURING TRENDING!
It will not show up in trending topics if your account is set to private! Just unlock it for the time being and as soon as you are done tweeting for the day/night, you can reset it to private.

5. ONE HASH-TAG PER TWEET.
If we got 2 Topics to trend, PLEASE REMEMBER THIS.
Because that is also spam, and spam is unwanted.
Sadly, you can't put both #perfectbody and #arashi in one tweet because it will NOT BE COUNTED.

Good tweet:
Sho has a #perfectbody
OR
I Love #Arashi

Bad tweet:
#arashi’s Sakurai Sho has a #perfectbody! --> Will not be considered by Twitter ):

6. DO NOT PLACE LONE HASHTAGS
It won't be counted either! Add some sentences inside your tweet :)

Good tweet:
I LOVE #arashi

Bad tweet:
#arashi <--- Typing only this

 

7. DON’T WORRY ABOUT SYMBOLS AND CAPITALIZING

 

i.e.

 

#arashi’s leader is Ohno Satoshi

OR

#ARASHI IS THE GREATEST BAND EVER.!!!

Twitter will still count #arashi as a hashtag (^^_)

and always remember to have fun~
After all it is a Twitter Party XD

i made another twitter account cause i wanted to keep my personal one with locked tweets.

here is the one i have made especially for this. my username is sumirehime. (sidenote: im following this one from my other account in case anyone would like to follow me. (^^*)v) ill do my best to tweet #perfectbody. i love it when he says it. its so adorable!!! lets make our keio boy proud! :D
