hmm I've got this from internet and I was curious. Had Nino really done a plastic surgery? like for double eyelids? I've found this and this and then one in a forum .. because I don't think I've ever seen his face is change. I'm super curious

that's what I think too. When he was younger, he had double eyelids too if you look carefully, it's just that they became thicker when he got older because his eyes just generally became more puffier

Nino hasn't, it is just called ageing and growing older and mature. Plus boys have growth spurts later on in life compared to girls who have it when they are younger.

But then again, you can't really judge what a person looked like when they were 10 to a few years later. I mean stress, eating habits, exercise habits, sleep habits and puberty all play a role in how a person is affected when it comes to their looks.

I look at my cousin who was 10 years old to now when he's 20 years old... And he looks completely different. And he can't even afford plastic surgery.

And even if they did, by some off chance, have surgery, does that affect your love for them? Plus, I think Nino's too frugal to actually spend money on plastic surgery. He won't be able to play any games or anything. Plus the pain that associated with it?

i don't think he does. or like other Johnnys does.
They grow older and of course they change. It's natural.

If then you see their young pic and compare to their current pic now and they really looks different, that means they change. Puberty works perfectly.

And btw that's what you get hen you join Johnnys,i think? Make your hormones work ~to the max~ and you'll defintely be 'ikemen' 8D

xDDD I don't think he did either, but even if he had (which wouldn't matter) I don't think that argument necessarily works. Wouldn't the agency help chip in or pay for that sort of thing as an investment? It's also job security.

i mean nino is a person who refuses to do make-up when he's on tv- and his make-up and stylists have hard time with nino because they try to do it but nino always refuses and runs away from them..lol so i doubt that he'll even do a plastic surgery..

It's entirely possible that he did. He's very dedicated to his job, and an attractive appearance is important. Japanese people really value double-lids. I used to think that he wasn't the personality type to do it, but who really knows? We can't say one way or the other, we can just look at pictures and decide for ourselves.

I wouldn't be surprised. The double eyelid thing's really common anyway, and not even really considered a big deal as westerners think when they hear plastic surgery.

well I'm sure they know how to use double eyelid tape and glue which can work wonders and basically create permanent double eyelids if you use them on a regular basis for a long time

coming from Korean fandom (which I think is really open to idols getting plastic surgery), I think I heard a rumour about Nino having done his eyes. I also heard that in Japan, those eye surgeries are really common and popular - like you can buy a disposable syringe and inject yourself to get the 'double eye lid' (the effect will wear off eventually).

BUT nothing has been confirmed. I heard about Nino's plastic surgery in an internet forum (where anything could be said and not be verified) and the syringe thing from a friend that visited Japan. She saw the product being sold in the streets but she doesn't really speak fluent Japanese and, no offense, but I find that ppl in her family tends to exaggerate a lot. So i'm not really convinced.

Setting the uncertainties aside, I don't really care if Nino had a plastic surgery or not. I like him, for who he is as much as how he looks. If he had done it, I think it would have been offered and paid by the company (as is case with Korean idols). If he hadn't done it, fine by me :D

I doubt he undegoes it since it so frigging expensive. Nino definitely doesn't like to waste money. Well other than games of course. In arashi, saving up is definitely his forte. XD

meh it's fairly common to get the double eyelid surgery so it comes as no real surprise if they did....I laughed at Yamampi's XD They have baby pics and stuff leading to them joining and debuting....it's obvious sometimes whether they have grown or not (Aiba has lost a lot of baby fat and stuff...) They all get their teeth done eventually...as to whether it's caps or not though....I have had a lot of Asians come through my till with their children and the children had the whole 'double eyelid' thing...sometimes it happens....Johnny's is all about looks too so they have to make sure they will be beautiful later on :P Whether they have help along the way *shrugs* As far as Arashi goes though, they seem relatively unchanged other then the age factor (and eyebrows *thank god Matsujun XD*) Once i got into the whole Japanese thing i just take it...the double eyelid thing doesn't bother me :p I do remember he looked kind of grossed out when he did that thing on plastic surgery in the beginning of D no Arashi...didn't look like he wanted to go through the same thing...

I can say for a fact that it is fairly easy to photo manip and post such a thing to slander them. I've easily changed myself and friends for fun, so it's not a hard task to do the same with celebrities.

Like a lot of comments have said, you just believe what you believe unless the idols themselves refute these statements. As for Johnny's, they release a lot of kid photos so you can see the likeness.

I wouldn't be surprised if he did. The double eyelid procedure is pretty common in Japan and Korea especially, since double eyelids are kind of seen as the beauty standard. My guess would also be that the agency paid for it, since it'd be in their best interest to have their idols fit the image the public expects.

That being said, people's faces do change over time. Like, I'm Japanese too, and it's not like my eyes have changed from having mono to double lids, but I've noticed that my eyes have started to look less squinty as I've gotten older...

Double eyelids.. I never had them when I was younger until a year ago I realized I had double eyelids.. Maybe some people grow differently XD

Ah! same thing with me! I woke up one day when I was 18...and whaddayaknow? Suddenly, I had double eyelids on my left eye. Right eye came out a year later. And 8 years after, it got larger!

I dont think he's done plastic surgery. as a lot of people wrote, it's just because people's features change as they grow. my cousin has oriental eyes and in her younger photos, her double lids couldn't be seen most of the time (it also depends on the angle of the shot and if you're smiling too much). but as she grew older, the lids became more pronounced. it's just the skin stretching as you grow older. double lids from surgery look much deeper, very similar to western eyes.

I doubt Nino had surgery done. If you look at his earlier pictures...he wasn't really monolid-ed. It's just that the fold was mostly hidden. well, at least it looks that way to me.

Same thing happened to me. As I grew older and lost baby fats, my crease became more obvious. And yes, even my friends have asked if I had surgery done.

I guess it's the same thing for Nino. But, even if he did have surgery done, It's quite normal for Japanese. And you wouldn't love him less, would you? :)

xD I haven't clicked on the links but I think I've probably seen those ones before. While personally, I don't think he has (he doesn't look that different to me even in his Childhood pictures since he always looks eternally young), it is a possibility. If he had, it wouldn't matter so much to me as he's still the same person anyway. xDD However, I do have to point out that unless je talents, trainees etc. have to provide their own cost for a variety of things (possible) the argument that he is too frugal for such a thing wouldn't make sense. Some companies provide training costs as an investment. And seeing how important looks is in the industry sometimes (which is why ps happens sometimes because it may be viewed as a business necessity), if the company was willing to put that effort into him, they would likely help cover or pay for the full costs of it. If you are talking about double eyelid surgery, it makes it more reasonable since I think that that is relatively cheaper then say, a nose job or a chin shave. xD Though he always looks the same to me, so honestly, I don't think he has.

Of course, the cheapest method besides being born with it would be the eyelid glue/tape. xD I have also heard about a lot of people having their double eyelids come in later. xD Sometimes they have more of a deep crease on one side then the other. You never know, it could have come in with growth as they get older in other cases.
