Question/help please!

Okay so I'm going to Fukuoka for a month and I'll be there when Arashi's new single comes out
I arrive on June 26th so I was going to head out on the 27th to a CD shop somewhere or HMV or something and preorder it
What are the chances that I can still preorder the LE of the single?

and I would really appreciate some help from people who speak Japanese
my Japanese is limited so how do I say I want to preorder a CD???

I'm kind of nervous because I've never been to Japan by myself before so for once I don't have someone who is fluent with me D:

From what I've seen, as a regular HMV customer near my house, they aren't taking anymore pre-orders for the LE single or album :/

CDを予約したいです is what I would probably say.
"CD wo yoyaku shitai desu"

They are probably sold out of the limited edition already.

When I pre-ordered my 5x10 Album it went a little something like this:

”嵐の新しいアルバムを予約したいんですが・・・”
Arashi no atarashii arubamu wo yoyaku shitain desu ga....
I'd like to pre-order Arashi's new album...

but you would say シングル (shinguru) instead of アルバム (arubamu)

”限定版はまだ予約出来ますか？”
Genteiban wa mada yoyaku dekimasu ka?
Can I still pre-order the special edition?
(You can probably also say スペシャル "supesharu" in exchange for 限定版 "genteiban" if you want)

I pre-ordered my copy from Imagine, so I don't know if HMV is different, but the lady then started to sign me up for an account with them. At Imagine, you don't need an account to pre-order stuff but I guess it makes things easier because then they call you when your order is in.

If the person at HMV starts to do that, you can ask them if you need it and if not then just tell them that you won't be in the country long enough to use it ^^;

”CDを予約するためにアカウントがいりますか？”
CD wo yoyaku suru tame ni akaunto ga irimasu ka?
Do you need an account in order to pre-order a CD?

He will probably say no.. in which case:

"じゃあ、アカウンを作らないで予約してください”
Jaa, akaunto wo tsukuranaide yoyaku shite kudasai
Then, can you please reserve it for me without making an account?

Hope this helps. When you go to pick up your CD you can probably just give them your receipt and they will understand, but if you want you can say ”嵐の新しいシングルを予約したんですが…” Arashi no atarashii shinguru wo yoyaku shitan desu ga..." and they will understand what you want

I think it's quite impossible to get a LE of an Arashi release so long after the preorder was initially opened...T.T Who was it...Aiba's mom or someone's mom once said that she tried getting it from the cd shop and failed terribly.

yea I wrote them down ahhaha , I can speak okay but I've never really had an actual conversation before so I'm scared I won't know what they're saying or what to say when I'm all nervous XDDD

Personally I've found it more difficult to find the regular editions from Johnny's stuff in Japanese shops than the limited one! Like when I was trying to find the regular edition of one Arashi CD I could only find the limited edition so I ended up buying it although I had looked for the regular one... And same thing when we were hunting for NYC boys regular version for my friend, the shops would have tons of the limited edition ^^; Especially Shibuya HMV had quite a bit of limited editions from even older CDs... Although of course it might depend on which CD it is too. No idea if preordering is possible in those places at this time tho.

my mom went to japan for 1 year. and she cant speak japanese. even one word. she used simple english so that japanese could understand it. ^^ try doing the same.
and when she tried to buy me some arashi CDs DVDs etc.. she goes to the shop a weeks earlier to reserve a copy for her (me). thats what she do. im not sure if you can still get an LE on the release date, but i think yes? :D depending on the shop i guess. ^^
