Ryu-san, err, does Shimura-san’s play, so I was told “come to watch it, please.” Well, then well, I thought I would go. those ratings gotta be a serious problem by time...I just watched first ep, the story's really lacking a bit, but maybe it will get better? but if the audience didn't get snatched from the first moment it will be really hard...poor MatsuJun, he's doing good in this drama

I also am worried about just how come drama ratings aren't any higher. I wasn't expecting anything grand from Natsuniji, but got seriously excited by the end of the episode. I got hooked, not by Jun's performance, but the main actress's play. She seriously is awesome.

Where are Arashi's fans when the program airs? I can't explain myself. ;_;

for Natsuji...I couldnt' really understand much why they seems to blame on the actor...as well as other dorama as well...I mean, the reason they got low rating is because the plot...not only because of who starred in...really...sigh...but i really hope the story get better though...

I actually have high expectation from this drama...I think if they can produce more romance moment...they might be able to pick up some rating...as far as I see, including the ep.3 preview...tbh, if not for Jun kun, I wouldn't borther to watch this...sigh...I really don't want to feel this way... :(

yeah i agree with most of the users that the first episode was alright even with what happened at the end of that episode. even with matsujun in it which he acts pretty good in it....the story line doesnt really grab my attention as much as most dramas should in the first episode. but we shall see......

im really glad that aiba n ohno got to spend sometime together thats really nice haha.

The news about NatsuNiji's ratings really breaks my heart. Hopefully it will at least level off and not continue to drop. The show isn't brilliant, but I'm really enjoying watching Jun play the fool - I've always liked how he does comedy. The show is rather different than what the massive promotional posters and the teaser CMs were hinting it...perhaps some viewers were put off by that?

I know I was put off by that but probably it's just me. Not that I want them to strip or make-out on the get go but I was hoping the attraction to be more passionate and not so one-sided. I love Yuko but she's not reacting to Jun's smexiness and quite surprised at the lack of sparks.

I'm missing the doki-doki feeling too. I hope people don't get me wrong, Yuko is a wonderful actress and her Shiori is spot on, more than Jun's performance as Taiga (I'm very disappointed with his crying scene >///<. he could have done it much better or it's the directors fault). Realistically someone like Shiori won't be bothered about love. She can be happy enough with a cute kid like Umi and just live as they are now. I can't find how she would fall for Taiga. I hope the writer/ the whole production team can prove me wrong and prove it fast.

i agree with what everyone has said so far about the drama. It really is heart-breaking to hear about the ratings of NatsuNiji. I have to admit though, even though the actors and actresses are great in the drama, the plot is lacking a bit. When I finished the first episode, I wasn't like "omg I have to continue watching this" but I will finish it off soon. But I think the drop in ratings is happening to all of the dramas this season, so it's not just NatsuNiji that's suffering. Hopefully we'll see a rise next week!

i feel bad for Jun, cos i'm sure he's kinda beating himself up about it. plus i'm surprised, i actually found the 2nd episode better than the first. I really do think that people in Japan thought it would be a bit more love centered faster, not with her having a child and not responding to his love by being almost awkward with each other.
idk. maybe expectations were too high, or maybe mine were. i also didn't really think the writers played up him falling in love with her at first sight..it seemed way too passive. i hope the rating scare helps to change things up a bit. please improve next week!

the drama is honestly good enough for me, and as long as i feel that the cast and staff are putting effort in the drama, im contented and will continue to support it :)
