Regarding ticket.co.jp/yahoo auction jp
Aug. 10th, 2010 01:09 amHi there.
I am not sure whether this question has been asked before.
I shall just get straight to the point :)
I am planning to buy Arashi's concert tickets this year.
But after scanning through ticket.co.jp & yahoo auction jp.
I am wondering why these 2 ticketing sites are priced so differently?
Is there a reason why people sell their tickets more pricey at ticket.co.jp
whereares in yahoo auction jp tickets are ranged from really low to really really high prices.
Also, most of the ticketing services provides services from ticket.co.jp
For someone new like me :)
Any ticketing sites to reccomend?
Haha. I hope i am not too hard to understand.
Thank you!

Date: 2010-08-09 05:37 pm (UTC)I guess that is the reason why people go to ticket.co.jp? But isnt ticket.co.jp through bidding as well? Or it's at a fixed price?
I am really new to all this :)

Date: 2010-08-10 04:08 pm (UTC)Guess this will be my last concert in Japan. Its seriously insane... but i really want to experience Kokuritsu. If you think about it, even National Day Parade can't beat the atmosphere in terms of no. of people. :)

Date: 2010-08-11 01:58 pm (UTC)actually i had a chance to go for one of last year's kokuritsu concerts in december - i was in harajuku, and staring through the glass at a pair of tickets (for a concert starting in 4 hours), SGD700 apiece. but i didn't go, because i didn't have a friend willing to spend the SGD700 with me! sighs, wasted.

Date: 2010-08-09 06:03 pm (UTC)Sometimes i wonder is that a good thing or bad thing.
It is a good thing for Arashi, as it shows how hot they are.
It is a bad thing for us overseas fans, hehe :D

Date: 2010-08-09 07:21 pm (UTC)the best way is to find a person that can bid for u..or sumone that can sell u a ticket if u meet them in person..there r various ppl from lj that would post if they have a ticket to sell..n chances r the prices r much more reasonable than others online
there is also this site http://www.crescent-shop.com/ that can help u purchase tickets from ticket.co.jp n i believe they send the ticket to ur hotel with just a fee..itz an option to take if u dont want to risk understanding how to purchase tickets

Date: 2010-08-09 07:56 pm (UTC)If you don't have that you'll have to get someone to buy them for you. jegoods will do it for a fee http://je-goods.livejournal.com/1003.html?page=2#comments but obviously if you have a friend living in japan that would be the cheapest.

Date: 2010-08-10 02:48 am (UTC)To buy the tickets, you can use either a Japanese credit card, a Japanese cell phone, or pay via internet bank. All the payment options pretty much require living in Japan. The internet bank option requires you to be in Japan to sign up. I've also tried to register with my US-issued VISA card several times, but the system won't accept it, only my Japan-issued card. With a cell phone, if you are able to navigate their mobile site, you can pay with cash at a local convenience store. You'll need to be able to read some kanji in order to do this.

Date: 2010-08-09 08:58 pm (UTC)now im really wondering, how much will be the estimated budget for an international fan like me if you will plan to go to their concert (that includes air fare, japan's hotel, con ticket and other expenses if there's still...) so that i could prepare myself for the worst for im also planning to go to their con next yr... badly needs advice *hysterical* =0

Date: 2010-08-11 01:37 am (UTC)I hope this gave you a little idea of how much it could cost to see them. I do want to say that it was incredibly worth it. I don't regret spending this much money at all and am actually considering seeing them again in the future. If you're interested, here's a link to my journal about my Arashi experience: http://verde-ivy.livejournal.com/88854.html#cutid1. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask! I wouldn't say I know everything, but I don't mind helping another Arashi fan as so many helped me when I was planning my trip last year :)

Date: 2010-08-11 02:21 pm (UTC)I just have another question (hehe)
For example, if i am not planning to buy the concert goods at all; not wanting to line up.
(in order to use the time for other sight seeings in japan)
Do you know,
How many hours earlier do we have to start making our way into the stadium in order to reach our seats in time? Or should i say how many hours beforehand do we have to reach the venue.
Thanks!

Date: 2010-08-12 02:32 am (UTC)Well, the concert started at 6 PM, but they opened the stadium doors at 4 PM (they state that on the concert ticket). There were a lot of people waiting to get inside, but I do not remember it taking so long for me to get in. Personally, I would try to get there at least an hour earlier just to be safe; I tend to worry if I get lost, or if the train breaks down for some reason and I miss the beginning of the concert.
Honestly, getting into the stadium and finding my seat wasn't a problem (the Sapporo Dome had signs everywhere so it was easy to find my seat), but getting out took forever. I saw several people leave before the concert ended just to avoid the rush of people. Still, someone did tell me at another venue it took her a while to find her seat and she actually sat down in the wrong one (she had to move when the person came by). At the Sapporo Dome there were workers there to help you find your seat, though I'm not sure if that is everywhere.
I hope that answered your question!

Date: 2010-08-18 10:43 am (UTC)I looked up ticket.co.jp and found out that the tickets for their concert in sapporo is really cheaper than those tokyo or osaka, etc. Is there a reason for that?
Based on your experience, how many months before the concert should we start to book the hotels in sapporo? It is not easy to find the hotel closest to sapporo dome. Do you know any?
Sorry for the many questions!
Thank you in advance!

Date: 2010-08-18 12:50 pm (UTC)If you are definitely going to the Sapporo Concert, I would book the hotel now. I do not believe you will get penalized if you decide to cancel the reservation later on unless you cancel it 24 hours before your reservation, BUT I would check the hotel's policy and see if the hotel charges your card immediately and to see if you can cancel without forfeiting money. I waited until I had confirmed tickets, but by then all hotels near Sapporo Station were gone and I had to stay in Otaru (25 min from Sapporo Station). That's why I recommend if you know that you are going, just go ahead and book. Once tickets are released, finding a hotel "close" to Sapporo dome will be challenging. Also, because it takes so long to get out of the dome after the concert is over, I was really worried that I would miss the last train from Sapporo to Otaru and be stuck at Sapporo Station overnight.
I do not recall many hotels near Sapporo Dome, except a hotel near Chitose Airport, but that was pricey. I would look around Sapporo Station. It's a quick subway ride (not JR line. ~13 min) from Sapporo Station to the dome and I think it was 240 yen each way. Toyoko Inn is pretty cheap and close to Sapporo Station. I was going to stay at the Ramada Hotel Sapporo, but it got booked. Though you had to take a subway to Sapporo Station from the Ramada.
Let me know if you have any other questions! Sorry for the lengthy response ^^;

Date: 2010-08-10 07:00 am (UTC)I used to worry about this sort of situation, but, after 3 years of attending various JE concerts and butai using tickets that I purchased, I have not once had my membership status or ID checked. Nor have I ever seen anyone having theirs checked. They will check your bag or purse when you enter, but that's about it. I am a member now but figured if anyone ever asked why I was using a ticket that wasn't mine, I'd simply say a friend gave me the ticket and feign ignorance of the rules.

Date: 2010-08-11 01:01 am (UTC)BUT... be careful with purchasing tickets from the internet - Johnny's Entertainment isn't stupid either, as they check the webpages / ticket auction sides as well. Last year, they canceled a bunch of seats when they found the ticket for those seats sold on the internet. - So, if the seller is stupid enough to write the exact seat number on the auction site / item description, I wouldn't buy it. Too dangerous.
