[Question]
Mar. 20th, 2007 04:32 pmNow the question is 'If she plays it on her computer can she watch it?' Is there like some codec or something that allows you to watch japanese movies on computers from the U.S.?
If you have any information that would help a lot. Thank you!
[sorry I don't have some picture or something to amuse you xP]

Date: 2007-03-21 05:25 am (UTC)Cause with most DVD-roms on computers they limit you to changing the region for only a few times then your DVD-rom will be locked after the limit.
so i TOTALLY recommend this program to anyone who has a DVD-rom i have been using for YEARS & can't image watching DVDs on my computer with out it!!
DVD Region+CSS Free" (http://www.dvdidle.com/)
this wonderful little program allows you to over-ride the regions on any DVDs from overseas, plus it can over-ride DVD regions for DVD-roms which have already been locked which means that there is no change on the region limits on the DVD-rom.
hope this helps your friend out and any other people who have had DVD-rom region problems

Date: 2007-03-21 05:32 am (UTC)i myself use "cyberlink DVD" or "VLC player" but there are loads of other media programs which can play DVDs.
note: you shouldnt need to install any extra codecs to be able to watch the DVD , just a media program which can play DVDs should be fine
