So I saw this article come up on my twitter feed and thought they must be joking, but nope, it's for real. Nino will be in a new commercial this month in a straight-up frog suit, I kid you not.

A sudden change of pace? Arashi’s Ninomiya Kazunari wearing a frog suit in a new CM

We’re here to announce that Ninomiya Kazunari of the popular group, Arashi, will be appearing in a new commercial for the credit card brand JCB wearing an adorable little frog suit! While Ninomiya has appeared in funny commercials for quite some time, the development behind this one is just bizarre. And although he hops to and fro in the commercial, the highlight is definitely his unexpected “ochi”¹

The commercial is part of the series whose basic premise is “even for your everday purchases, or when you get the urge to buy everything in this world, bounce around the world and be happy.” In this new commercial, Ninomiya randomly buys a frog suit on the internet, undergoes a series of changes, and ends up finding a buried treasure which changes his entire world.

The commercial may come off as a comedic skit for a moment, he really worked hard on the internet content and comedic timing. In the beginning, he teamed up with the comedian Nakata Masaya² of the duo, French Toast Stars, to get his opinion on it and work out the minute little details to get the filming done right.

The new JCB commercial, “frog suit” begins airing everywhere the 18th.

from my limited understanding, "ochi" is a term used for the butt of a joke, or perhaps in this content the silliness he displays or jokes he cracks on screen. It is certainly rather un-translatable XP I learned it from playing a game where one person is named the "ochi" and has to use any means to make the other players laugh!
