I'm going to Taipei on Friday. So excited like OMG since Arashi did concert there, right right? :D
So I searched if there's any goodies or anything related with Arashi/JE boys. Unfortunately, I can't find one. Or maybe I didn't see it :/

Anyone can help perhaps? While at it, any must-see attractions there that you suggest please? This is my first time going there >.<
I'm sorry for bugging here and THANK YOU for sharing your time ♥ :')

i bought all my dvds/cds and mags there!

Why hello there~~~~~~~

I [used to] live in Taipei! I was born there, but I moved to the US soon after. :(
My Chinese has been increasingly getting worse since I left, but here are some places for you to check out:

TAIPEI 101 (...goes without saying?)
Ximending (my dad's old stomping grounds. hahahah)
Dingtaifeng (a restaurant. AMAZING restaurant) You can find this inside the Breeze Center (weifeng guangchang) near SOGO.

As for Arashi/JE goods...There is a kinokuniya inside the Breeze Center, in addition to a HANDS TAILUNG (amazing for Japanese goodies and stuff), and at the top floor of the Breeze Center, there is a CD store.

All this stuff about the Breeze Center...because I live across the street from it. Or, rather, my apartment is. xD I'll be returning there in teh summer. But until then, California weather bby. ;D

I hope you enjoy your time in Taipei!!!!!!!!!! Really!!!!!! ;DDDDDDDDDDDDDD

hello!!!^^~~ i went to Taipei this past summer (2010) for about 10 days and it was wonderful!!! i unfortunately didn't find anything johnny's related but there are lots of japanese items like makeup brands and accessories and clothes~ oh YEA!!! there's a huge book store near taipei 101 that sells Japanese magazines!~ Idk if that helps.....lol gomen ne~

Taipei is a cool place to be!!! It was pretty to me but that was in the summer~ idk about the winter but make sure you go to Xi Men Ding which is like a shopping center kinda place~ you can find lots of cute clothes and good street food~ its not as popular as it once was but i still thought it was pretty nice~

You MUST MUST MUST go to the night markets!!! They are so cheap and delicious!!! There's so much to try and eat so make sure you don't overdo yourself with just one food! Go to Shilin Night Market!!! Its amazing there since you can shop and eat and play games~ theres a section with a whole bunch of cute puppies and kitties!!! other night markets are good too!

I would also recommend Danshui which is a great place by the water but idk if you would want to go there during the winter~ Its REALLY pretty there if you watch the sun set and the market there is pretty good too!!^^

Even though i didn't find any JE related stuff it was still an amazing experience for me~ i want to go back this summer!!! I hope you have fun and discover lots of things!!!

Hey! I was born in Taipei, but now I go to school now in LA.

I would definitely follow the advice of the previous posters, they all named some awesome places to visit. And I would check out bookstores. Most of them have a section where they sell bookmarks and I saw a lot of JE laminated pictures (playing cards size) last time I went back to Taipei. However, I have to warn you, a lot of them tend to be older pictures of the JE boys, but they're really cheap so you can buy a lot if you find pictures of your favorite idols.

You should visit night markets too because they sell all sorts of Japanese goods (be careful not to get ripped off!). Also, is Taipei the only city you're visiting? You should go to Taichung's night market, FengJia, that's right next to a college. It's a HUGE night market and they sell all sorts of goodies and yummy food. Too bad you're not going back in March because that's when I'm going back! I would love to explore with you to to find Johnny's stuff. Have fun though! ^^

You should try the Dingtaifeng restaurant as recommended above. That's the place with the dumplings that the boys loved and ate at every meal when they were in Taipei :D

Ding Tai Feng is a very famous restaurant in Taiwan so you should try it when you're there.

And when the boys dont have time to dine in, they order takeaway through their manager to satisfy their xiaolongbao craving! (I remember Aiba said the 5 of them can eat more than > 100!!!)

not sure if you can read chinese but there are 4 johnnys goods stores (they buy the goods from johnny's shops in japan and sell them for a slightly higher price) in ximending
and these 2 are the best:
http://www.wretch.cc/blog/grace6991
http://www.wretch.cc/blog/haro2you
they're both in the same building thats about 10 minutes walking distance from exit#6 of the ximen MRT station and the sites give you detailed directions
and theres also a magazine chain store called Magfreak (http://www.magfreak.com.tw/) that has all the Japanese magazines and whatnot
they have a store in ximending as well
Ive definitely seen a few posts about buying goods in taiwan on LJ and on this comm so make sure to search again!
let me know if you have more questions!

-taiwanese girl who spent emptied her wallet in these stores last summer =O

Yeah no problem! I honestly spent so much time googling and trying to find the actual johnny's shops (ie. sell official johnnys goods) in taipei because mainly hardcore taiwanese johnny's fans know about them and they always talk about them in code...
The stores themselves were a pain in the ass to find too, not gonna lie
Pretty sure I got lost even after my 5th time going there haha or maybe it's just me

well there's NHK which is just NHK
and then there's like 2 or 3 japanese channels that air dramas and miscellaneous shows like MS, kouhaku, London Hearts and cooking/traveling shows
you'd be able to find them easily by flipping through all the channels cuz there arent that many in total anyway

hi! went to taipei for the Arashi Around Asia con last 2008 - i think i saw a JE shop in ximending but they sell unofficial stuff like posters, desk calendars, etc. there was also this convenience store (like 7-11) and just outside they were selling hana yori dango dvds.. i didn't check if they were official but i think so. yeah, you should try out the xiao long bao dimsum at the din tai fung - that's the same dimsum that our beloved Arashi boys eat whenever they go their for a tour. They even documented eating it on their AAA 2006 dvd. But i think on the DVD they just had it delivered, however for 2008 i saw in some news that they actually went to the resto and had it there. That place is ALWAYS packed and you really have to get in line for a while just to be seated inside. After trying out the dimsum, you should walk right down to the ice monster store also in the same area as din tai fung.

Hope this helps, and enjoy your trip!

PS. btw, i'm from manila, philippines =P

which sold pretty much everything of johnnys.

for albums, dvds right, i think it is readily available in any cd store that you see in taiwan. (:
hope these helped!

and please do visit their night market! their food are awesome. ^^
