Which arashi concert will you introduce to a newbie?

I am quite new to arashi and I would like to watch their concert. Each of their concert looks great and i dont know where to start :P

In your opinion, which concert will you introduce to a newbie? What is the highlight of the concert that you think one should look out for? ^^

I actually showed my kpop crazy friend Arashi's 5x10 ooncert, and through it, she got hooked watching their Attack It perf. I don't know why, but I always feel that their (JE) concerts are always better then their previous ones.

I recommend the Arashi around asia in tokyo 2008 and 5x10 tour held in 2009. :) I had really fun watching them. :D I have watched it countless times because it was sooooo good and entertaining. :D

Time because they are so happy to be in Dôme !
And AAA 2008, because it's a great concert.

... I wrote a huge paragraph trying to choose a concert, but in the end, any concert is amazing. Arashi and MatsuJun for sure has always tried really hard to make a fun concert for us, and it really shows. They all have cool things.

I really liked Time and AAA 2008 and 5x10 because they're more recent and so they'd have songs I knew a lot. Also because Time and AAA 2008 has Niji which I loved so much, and time has Friendship which is really, really adorable, the lyrics. I love Subarashiki Sekai in AAA 2008. But yeah, 5x10 is freaking amazing because it contains so much gratitude and love and really commemorates their past, what with their see-through outfits, huge vegetables, drama theme song solos, Ashita no Kioku, etc. Every and any concert of Arashi's is amazing as long as their having fun. :)

I guess u better start with AAA+in dome. I personally think that it's the starting of fun-Arashi-concert time. Then u can move on with Time, AAA in kokuritsu, and then 5x10. with that u can see how much Arashi grows and how glorious their concert become as time pass..

It's like u're having fun watching dome, but then u getting more and more excited when watching con after that. If u started with con like 5x10 first, i think when u watch their earlier con then, u dont really feel great anymore.

p/s: Iza Now is fun too..very different and unique concept..

I like dome concerts better 'cause you can see all the dance... so it's better to start with a dome concert if it's the first time your friend is watching Arashi... then, once she knows them better, it's time for the others ;) (I miss the dance at Oh yeah! in 5x10 con T.T)

i would recommend my fave arashi concert which is arashi around asia in tokyo 2008, it was held in tokyo national stadium (kokuritsu) it holds 70,000 crowd!! so many things to look forward to that concert, the fires, the water fountains, the balloons, the hanabi (fireworks), the moving stages!! that concert was awesome!! the crowd was tooooo large!! ;)))

another one is their 5x10 concerts, it's fantastic, because it's their 10th year anniversary tour, so they sang a lot their old songs ;))

also the final: time tour, it was held in tokyo dome! it holds 55,000 crowd. it's their first time to have a concert in that venue, you get to have a lot of arashi bakaness and arash rabu!! well in all their concerts hehe!!

I recommended watching Kokuritsu Concert. I can still hear our loud screams with the fans (even though we're just watching the DVD). We made our own uchiwas for our biases Sho and Jun. We kept waving it especially when the 2 of them were showed on screen. That was fun and my friend really enjoyed it. ^^

My first concert was TIME... I watched it 8 times now ^^" I showed that concert to my friend that didn't know Arashi at all and to my mum, both liked it! I think that this concert is the best to watch as a newbie!

TIME!! though one thing that make me hooked to arashi was when i watched Izza now 4yrs ago *thanks to someone who sang "Top Secret" and danced choo sekushi XDD*
dunno why but i prefer their Dome concert than kokuritsu..sure kokuritsu is HUGE *yet too far* but Dome is more intimate i guess ;)

I would recommend Time. They seem to be so... happy. But being an album concert, maybe there are more songs that you/a new Arashi fan may not know (if you only know the singles), which can be boring for some people. I mean, they sing a lot of 'single' songs, but they are not the only ones they sing. For this, maybe it would be better start with some Arashi Around Asia (Either AAA+in dome or AAA 2008 in Kokuritsu)
As matsuamazing said, it also may be better start with older ones, so that when you see the newer, they seem more spectacular, but that's something subjective.

For someone new, I wouldn't recommend 5x10 concert first, because, well, yes, it's amazing and you can enjoy it anyway, but it's more ¿emotive? if you see it after knowing them a little more.

So, to sum up:
*Time
*Arashi Around Asia+in dome
*Arashi Around Asia 2008 in Tokyo
*Iza Now, 2004 (which is older than the other ones, and less spectacular, but it's a good concert)
*5x10

for me, I'd probably start from the older concerts first..
for ex: Iza now, 2004! to get an idea of how Arashi's songs
would be.. (Ohno looked sooo hot in it.. watching the performances
make me fell in love with him even more!) he was also very adorable..
it's also fun to see how Arashi interact with the fans!
then start from there.. u could then see
how much they've progressed and grown over all the past
years~~

Personally, I've been introduced to arashi through their ONE con. It was short, but I believe that yes/no? was too powerful and somehow it hit something within me. Until now I couldn't listen to it without getting goosebumps! It was just so beautiful, and their energy is breathtaking. :D

concerts-wise though, as much as I loved the kokuritsu ones, my most treasured would still be the TIME con. I think as a new fan, it doesnt come off as too extravagant, and somehow it's enough to digest when you want to know how arashi basically performs on concerts.♥

Oh, that's right! I was thinking of Time too, but if you want to get a taste of what concerts are, ONE is a perfect choice. After all, I'm here because of ONE's Subarashiki sekai ^^

For a lot of crack and a feel of how small their venues used to be, you can start with concerts like 2003 How's It Going and 2004 Izaa Now (my ultimate fave even til now) or if you REALLY want to see from the beginning, it's Suppin. You might not recognise some of the older songs though because for Suppin, they did a lot of song medleys from their senpais.

There were no official releases for 2005-2006 because they were not popular at that period and couldn't get management to agree to release dvds. They only started hitting Dome in 2007 so if you want something in between it is AAA+ Dome and Time concert.

'Suppin'[2000] was their first official concert. You might want to start with that. They were really young then, you could see how they've changed.

'How's it Going?'[2003] was my first concert. I still really like it. You could get a good feel of their style.

'AAA' in Kokuritsu[2008]. This was a really fun show. You could tell that it's just as good a time for them as it was for the audience.

Actually I showed my friend who is now a huge arashi fan too Iza Now 2004. I think it's a great con with nice special effects and i love their glass ball.

I think the best con is still 5x10 but its fun if you know their songs since long time. 5x10 was for me for a 10th anniversary party then a con.

If you show the best con at first, then you expect that all other con's are better or at least same style. I myself would be a little deceived even knowing that at that time it might be their best con. ^_^

The order I recommend:

AAA - because a lot of the newer songs are there. (The ONE LOVE perf is my favorite)

TIME - This is actually my favorite, but you need to listen to the album to really appreciate it! My favorite parts/songs are LOVE SITUATION and ROCK YOU

5x10 - It's a culmination of all their singles so that's fun, but IDK I wasn't as impressed with this concert as the other two.

Quite new myself I started with Time and I don't regret it one bit!!! In fact, that's also the one I showed a friend that became fan a bit later than me and we agree it was a great choice.

In fact, I have just ordered it... It's fantastic!!! Since I think it has some of the songs that should be sung in every one of their concert and aren't like Ye?No? or Cry for you... ;)
