Nothing worry about it. I know overseas media report dramatically. and US government demand evacuate from 80KM from nuclear plant. But radiation level is stable. hope this continue, and cool down.
A week after since that day. yesterday as in Tokyo area also cold many use heater we had risk to have unpredictable big blackout. but we could avoid black out. I feel how amazing we are we corporate to avoid blackout. Still inconvenient life continue in Tokyo. but we are living, let’s smile.

Kase who is chief bartender of first class in Paris where Ryu used to work return to Japan for party held by Japanese embassy. Miwa who knows the sprit of Ryu and Kase got mixed emotions. Meanwhile Miwa who visited to bar Lapin got news that Miwa’s grand father came down. When Miwa dashed off to the hospital with Ryu, Taizo was eating fruit. That time Kase appears.  Taizo requested to Kase special advisor of French fair that will be held at his hotel. few days later, Taizo comes to say Miwa, he will pick who for chief bartender of his hotel within 3 weeks.◇バーテンダー◇フランス大使館主催のパーティーのため、かつて溜(相葉雅紀)が働いていたパリの一流ホテルのチーフバーテンダー、加瀬(竹中直人)が帰国することになった。 Kase who fired Ryu, former his master, a bartender of 1st class hotel in Paris comes back Japan for French Embassy job. Miwa who come to interview with Kase, she feel uneasy relationships Kase and Ryu. Goro Kase who fired Ryu, a chilf bartender of Raz Hotel visits Japan with Seiji Yamanouchi for holding party held by French Embassy. Ryu who visited Taizo with Miwa reunites Kase there by one of time's revenges. Kase accept to do France fair held at Hotel Cardinal as Taizo requests thim. Ryu tries to give his recent news being uncomfortable. But Kase tells him “we are not your master and disciple any more.” and interrupt the conversation. Meantime, Taizo was pressed about 2 project by Cardinal hotel manager. One is to pick chief bartender of main bar urgently. another one is matter of Yamanouchi who serve food at French fair. Yamanouchi seems Gaullist, France supremacist, he force to get all food integrant same as Paris and ask too much of it, never give any inch. Miwa who can't stand watching Taizo who is in trouble requests to Ryu to host Yamanouchi at Bar Lapin and to convince him. He refuse this request as Ryu thought Kase also along. Meantime Miwa who had interview with Kase, tells him Ryu has still struggled to be fired. And Kase suddenly vocalized a word “Vodka iceberg and Gin tonic” “This is cocktail he made when he was with me.” and smile. Miwa felt uneasy with this word.

"I know overseas media report dramatically"

Yes. Sadly, international media is doing everything they can to cause panic in here. *Shake my head* It makes me so angry. It's like they are almost happy about all of this so that they have something to report.

Take care.

glad you are alright :) please stay strong! and you all are amazing! i just love how you all are corporating for the best!

about the overseas news, it's sad how the "outside" is reporting the nuclear plant and the radiation. It makes me worries and then confuse when someone else say that isn't true.

this interview is from a portuguese man who is working in Tokyo for more than 23 years. and as the title says, he talks how europe and usa are making a fuss over the radiation. Later he adds that japanese people is trying to live a normal life and keep movin on (even thought with the energy problem...) :)

The overseas TV stations indeed report dramatically. After watching the news today I totally started panicking. But what you say calmed me a little. I can't believe it's already a week since that day >.< I don't live in Japan but even my life changed, I wish I could turn back time. Anyway, enough with the blabbering. Like you said, we have to smile. Take care! *hugs*

It's sad how everyone living outside of Japan is freaking out more than the people actually living in Fukushima, because newscasters have to exaggerate things and make everyone panic. The english news exaggerate things and turn it into american news even though it has nothing to do with us and in the spanish news they exaggerate and ask stupid questions like "why so many people missing?" really? Do you not know how earthquakes and tsunami work? Earthquakes bury people and tsunami swallows people, and another newscaster said it could be worse.... that's why I stopped watching the news, I just check your updates or the japan times every once in a while. Thank you for the updates, take care :)

i wonder why.. can't they just kill the radiator? instead of saving it?
what if they throw cement onto the radiator instead of water? like burying it?
{a suggestion}

Yes, it takes ten thousands of years for radioactive materials to disintegrate to a level deemed to be safe and no longer pose threat to the environment. Besides, while they are in the process of burying the reactors, the fuel rods will continue to melt down and spew a massive amount of radioactive materials into the air. Add to this, the boiling water and vapor pressure inside the reactors that might elicit an explosion. Even if they succeed in burying them, the radiation will still be emitted from the buried reactors since cement is not leak-tight. So, burying can not be considered as an option.

Date: 2011-03-18 03:14 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] fulllove.livejournal.com
I heard on TV that they think to bury it...

Date: 2011-03-18 07:01 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] fullthrottle86.livejournal.com
I think what they're trying to say is that they consider burying as the last resort to resolve the problem, but not at this point where there are chances that the meltdowns can be prevented. Besides what they meant by burying is to build containers/shelters around the reactors, not to throw cements into the reactors. ^_^'

"I know overseas media report dramatically" Just as "asweetsymphony" said:
Yes, they really are showing a dramatic view of what is happening in Japan.

In Sweden (where I live) They tell all the Swedes that are working and living in Japan to flee the country! Which I think sounds a bit too hush.

Hi there. I had been wondering about the reports coming our of Western media when you have been reporting your local news. I think that Western media somehow exaggerates things. Hang in there. Things are getting back to normal. It is natural to be sad about what has happened. But one has to move forward and the Japanese has been through so much worse in the past. Thank you for updating us all the time.

I have a reason why my tv is turned off most of the time. The news aren't worth it. As the EQ happend and I wanted to get some news I immediately tried to get news fresh from the souce, like japanese tv. How can any western /foreign news agency know more than the actual country itself concerning their own condition?

It's a pity that german tv for example was talking about a meltdown even though it hasn't happend and was not spoken of anywhere else (was on saturday last week I think).
They only want to get high numbers and cause panic.

Keep up your work and stay safe, yamakaze-san!
Japan will regain their smiles, for sure.
